Still doing some research before buying a new turbo. The GT-K series of Turbos (pretty black ones), do they come in a 3 bolt pattern? Are they BB turbos....probably have that option. How do they spool.....the bigger ones (GT-K 650 & GT-K850) and does anyone run one and are they worth the money?...........dang.......lotta questions. I would call them but they are not open today..........thanks

I have a 4 bolt GTK-850 that I bought from Jack Cotton. It is a ball bearing turbo. They do come in a 3 bolt housing also. I think it is definelty worth the money. It spools up quick and pulls like a freight train. I ran 9.56 with this turbo @ 22psi. As far as this turbo being the best for you, it all depends on your combo. Jack is a great guy to talk to, and he would never steer you in the wrong direction. I'd give him a call, you won't be sorry.

Here's a few pics

trbochrgd1,
Engine looks awesome..............good job. What type of a stall do you run with the GT-K 850? That may be a bit much for my combo. I will call Jack though. Maybe the GT-K 650. I want it to be streetable and I only have a 9.5" 3000 stall. I do want a BB turbo though. I think the GT-K is awesome looking.

If your going BB look into Precisions(PTE) Dual BB Turbos,They run a little more than the T netics but have shown more power per MM in a size by size comparison.
They do make a compressor housing that has the pretty holes but it wil not e black. But do not buy a turbo just because it looks great.
Pics an ET you looking for and this will help decide what size turbo and Housings you will need.

I prefer T-netics. You have a warranty that Precision can't match, and Cotton's service to go with it. They are awsome turbo's! Like Otto said, don't buy for just for looks-------but fortunately with T-netics, you can have both looks and performance. Good luck with your choice.

Well I went with Mr Jack Cotton and ordered some things from him this morning. It was a pleasure doing business with him. He was very patient and helped me out with getting what was right for my setup. He could of even made more in sales but advised me that one of the parts in question was not needed at this time. That being said, I'm sure that I will be happy with my new CPT66BB Turbo (P trim), 60# injectors, Cotton's FMIC and a new 4" maf pipe.
That was an adrenaline rush just ordering this stuff, can't wait to break it all in!

Jack is a great guy. I bought my 72mm BB turbo from him. You will be very happy with your new set up, till you start to find the weak links.

You will love dealing with Jack.
Better get you a second job, these cars are expensive... and yes the weakest link will break. You will have a blast with the CPT 66 BB, it's a very nasty street turbo. I have the 3 bolt GTK 850 now but ran the 66 for a while.

What times were you running with the 66?............O Yeah....I've owned TR's for about 16 years now......yep I spent some $$$ on em. I'm just trying to make this one a wee bit faster.

Thanks! Almost all of it is Brian Cotton's handy work. I put the engine in and all the accesories and Brian did the rest! As for my converter, I never really got a straight answer from Marty over @ Neal Chance. I am thinking it is between 3500-3800 rpm's though. I glad you got to talk to Jack, his service is fantastic and he will always be there for you. Good luck with your new go fast parts and we want to hear some track #'s from you soon!
