Ha...we might have been underway together. I was on from 88-90. Was in the Gulf during the Iran/Iraq war, when the Vincennes shot down the airbus. We also did a north atlantic deployment, and some exercises down towards Gitmo. I can't remember, was the Nitro at NWS Earl, NJ? Or was she down south?
