the fiberglass are molded as the urethane OE were , the urethane tailed out and would rub the bumper without issue since urethane bends ,the fiberglass will squeek if you dont take the time to clearance it from the steel bumper
, just take a sander and grind the bottom of the filler so it doesnt hit the bumper

I don't think the original poster was referring to the actual parts.
I think it was more of a "look" the dummies are pricing them self out of selling parts. And he just happened to use the fillers as an example.

Those prices look pretty good to me for real GM parts. They fit perfectly and will last another 20 years like the ones i had on my car. Try buying parts new cars. Those will seem cheap. I wont even mention imports. They are 2-3x as much as GM on new parts:eek: .

Great point.

I think (first mistake) if they dropped the price 1 or $200. They would out sell every one and make more money on the same part.

Why do I settle for after market stuff? Because its 3 or 4 time less expensive then OE stuff.

Thank you for simplifying it for me. ;)

I ran into the same crap when I needed a tail lamp for my '03 Chevy 2500.
Went to a Chevy dealer... they wanted $150+.

I ordered an aftermarket lamp off Ebay for $55 shipped to my door.

And... you know what ? Looking at the back of my truck, I can't tell the difference between the aftermarket and OEM lamp... other than the $100 difference in cost.

Crap,

Well I need the REARS now also, thanks to Paul (Pacecarta) I bought his GM fronts, and they fit Perfect, I guess it's going to be the Fiberglass then for the rears, what about this Grinding thing, should I do this Before or after I hit the Paint booth...Paul am I going to have to make another trip to North Jersey to get these to Fit right

As much as we love our cars....and you want to buy those fiberglass/ABS junk ones??? I HAVE seen them, they look okay. I am a paint/bodyman and would settle for nothing less than OEM GM parts. I have bought new ones for the front and rear recently. Call me crazy. I am. I love my car, and refuse to put crap quality parts on it. Just my feelings.
