you could be chasing your tail on the fuel reading, the car hit the tire harder in the cold because the air is more dense,in the warm air your losing more power than just adding 1 lb of boost you would need say 25/26 lbs of boost to make the car feel like it did when it was colder out.

I've seen everything from 750 to 825 at the top of third be the same 10.5 actual AFR.
True. The interesting thing here is that the numbers start low and then rise. Typically, the numbers fall during a run. If you stop and immediately do another run, they will fall even more.

Driove the car today mid 90s AC on max and wow it was down on power. Never had a car so temperature sensitive . Boost builds slower just sluggish feeling compared to cool days.
Is this to be expected ? I drove it on the power tour and at 70 or so it was real strong but at 95 ambient it's a different car . :(
Running 23-24 psi alky on7 adding 5% fuel o2 stable at 780 or so . Zero knock I got 1.9 at 6 on the alky do I bumped it up to 7 and it's staying at 0.

If your alky is tuned right, it should feel pretty much the same all the time. My car does anyway.

These cars are sensitive to temp change. My old TTA would run 11.7 in the quarter mile from driving to the track and immediately going to the staging lanes. I wanted to know what my car really ran on the street heat soaked. It was down .3-.4 tenths compared to running cool. All in Florida 90 degree weather.

Where are you picking up intake air?

Large k&n cone filter where the stock was sort if behind the headlight area.
I noticed on the power tour it wanted less alky it hit harder at 6 than 8 if felt like. It gave me a little retard which could have been false the buzzer never went off but when I pushed the recall it was 1.9@ 60 mph close to the 2-3 shift I think.
When its cool you have to be careful the turbo spools muck quicker and will spin at part throttle with ease.

Noticed the ATS reading on the scan master runs over 100 on hot days ambients about 90-95. If setting it goes over range quick and driving around town I am seeing 125-130 ATS. Would a cold air kit help? Water temps run 200-218 with stock cooling system.
Car runs ok just way slower feeling in the summer. Boost is down about a pound in the heat hits 23 but backs down to 21-22 in about a second.

Most of us run the 160* thermostat, my K&N air filter is behind the headlight and low to catch the cooler air. I totally agree with a earlier post, you need a wide band to tune with any accuracy. I would swap the thermostat and get a wide band kit.

@ that eng temp, the rad is rejecting some serious BTU's into the under hood air. I think this is where some of your hi IAT's are coming from.
I did some testing on my 55/LS set up, as I was seeing some similar readings. I instrumented the under hood area next to the filter, put 1 in ft of the core support.
@95* ambient, 190* eng temp, I was getting 130+ IAT's. [the same as under hood temps.] The PCM was pulling timing.
I built an air box w/ a thru the core support inlet, and put the filter in the box. The box is insulated on the inner surfaces with Dynamat material.
The IAT's dropped to ambient, while moving. As I stopped in traffic, it rose some 10*, but never got to under hood [130*+], temps.

I use the Fluke meter I got from Percy's. A 2 station unit with k thermocouples. The IAT's were read from my laptop thru EFILIVE. [IAT sensor is in the MAF.]

Works for me..:D Will be doing the same on the T Type/LS turbo set up. The main difference will be the turbo will be connected directly to the box., and be fed from the pass side headlite area, and the inner fender where the batt was.The inlet is 5".

I run a 160 already I figure its my fan and radiator that limit me.

I also agree on the cooling issue. Your radiator/fan can't keep up with the 160 stat. 200-218 is too hot and I would freak if I ever saw those temps. Once you get the cooling issue sorted out, prepare to have to re-tune(since you current tune is with a hot motor). Also, have you inspected the waterpumps impeller?

Never touched the water pump .
I figured the temps were probably about where they ran stock at around 200.
I'd like them cooler but didn't think it was a scary thing.
Chuck any pictures of hat CAI set up you built ?
Thanks

Here's some....They'll be thumbnails, as I don't want the picture police to arrest me.....
The multi sided piece sits on top of the filter, and seals the top of the box. [Allows the filter/inlet tube to move w/ engine movement.]
The box is assembled w/ nutserts.
Box is powder coated wrinkle black.

Update I raised the timing in 1-2 by about 1 degree in the chip the otherday and the car is still a dog. I can't feel a change.

Boost is Down a little 21-22 but its just barely spinning the tires from a 20 mph roll and just feels slow.
Made one run from 30 to 85 and it took forever kinda felt like my son's 12 mustang .
Oh it's also a v6.
Never had a car that was so temperature sensitive power wise.
Should I increase boost in the summer ?
My closest GN friend told me he just parked his when it got hot due to the power loss so maybe is is normal.

Its a turbo car thing cooler denser air will make the car fell like it picked up 50 horsepower every time.....
