Chris,

The truth is all I been asking for! hence the tracking number so I knew when it left and when I would get it. Shipping out Monday is a lot more truth then 3 days from Wednesday as we were told when it was ordered. As for money back I am stuck waiting for it- I have around 4000 in tranny and converter. With you and Bruce as the only two I know that sell the billet input shafts. This will be my last post as long as I recieve my shaft by Friday as stated above since I still have no tracking # to see. If I can get a tracking # I will leave you alone unless something is wrong with the part. Hope that sounds reasonable.

CARTMAN Does it still sound like whining. I thought something was up when we did not recieve it as promised.

Thanks
Chuck

You stated shipped thursday, then 7:20 am monday. Dhl says 4:27pm monday. Instead of tell us to expect in 3 days, you should have said it will take you 3 days or more to ship it.

Just be honest thats all I asked.

Hey Chuck

well its funny for someone to say your whinning when ive personally waited what 4-5 months on a paid motor and then they go out of bussiness hmmm... I wonder why sounds good to me perhaps SOME venders will go out of bussiness for there crappy servise and open the door to NEW blood that may actully ship your part out as they charge your card....Hmm that would be something

Johnny

I know things have changed since 4-5 years ago with vendors and other members

your package was delivered today.and based on the times of the posts and the time difference you are not aware of this.it arrived at desert auto and was signed for.why dont you know about this yet?

Chris,

The reason I did not know was Eric (Dessert Auto) is assembling it for me. Eric is located in Las Crusas NM, I am in Rio Rancho NM (2 hrs away). So I have had parts shipped to him with exception of the torque converter. Eric has given me a constant update on part and progress. (For others I would recommend him VERY HIGHLY) As I said earlier, if we would have been told 1 week or 2 weeks before I was to get it, that would have been fine. I just wanted someone to be honest with me. I understand that things happen and can't be helped. I just wanted the tracking # so I had something concrete to go by. I am doing a complete frame up build on a 65 coupe and I am a month behind schedule just waiting on this input shaft (and that was not your fault). I have the body, cage, and interior to schedule yet. I would have been fine if yesterday you would have told me that something happened and it did go out till late monday afternoon. Or if by noon your time you would have email me the track # so I could have seen were it was. You knew it was a concern with me and I thought you could have taken the time to email it to me as again you stated.

I will not be a problem for you again, nor will I do business with you again. I consider this a closed chapter now and wish you the best of lucky.

Shaft arrived today and without access to computer at work, I have to email Chuck when I get home. Chuck has been emailed and trans is completed. Beautiful work on input shaft. No reliefs cut into it to cause stress risers. Very happy with product.

Why yes it does, even more so than before, thanks for asking.

You received a custom made specialty piece from the best in the business shipped across the country to you within 1 week and all you can do is cry and moan about it

S**t I'd love to get parts within a week of ordering, It's too bad that you can't seperate the poor service you got from one vendor from the totally reasonable service you got from another. Sounds like mommy needs to refill that big milk bottle of yours again ;)

CK Performance has been striving to provide the best customer service we can, from the time a customer is considering what transmission parts he needs, answering questions in regards to transmission problems, through to taking orders and processing them out the door.

While we can't be so bold as to say we are perfect (not sure if any business really could) but we are trying to get there. Thus far we have had more good sales and customers than bad ones, as most of the positive posts on the various boards that Chris is on can attest to plus the fact that CK Performance has been in business this long.

However when problems do arise we try our best to find a solution and work with the customer to get there.

Blacksabatth198 (name withheld), I recall your problem as I worked with you to find a solution earlier this year (2005) around Feb/March. At that time you had mentioned the transmission had leaked from day one. From what I recall the transmission was ordered through Poston's around mid-late 2004 (?)

We would have appreciated it more and likely would have found a quicker solution if we were notified right away of the problem and not months later as was the case.

As an aside, I personally would not have tolerated a problem for that long (and neither would most I assume) from any vendor.

Upon hearing the problem on Feb/March of this year, we opened the table to you and asked what you would like to solve this problem. At that time you had asked for a 3200 9x11 outright and the issue would be dropped. We rejected that idea because we felt it was not a proportional solution to the transmission leaking.

What we did offer is a brand new Aluminum Transmission Pan, new Hex Bolts, New filter and 12 quarts of fluid along with a signed agreement that the issue will not perpetuate (continue) in any medium whether it be phone or internet.

This agreement came about from our phone conversation where you had mentioned that "bad news travels fast" and that you would let other enthusiasts know of your experience.

The agreement was signed by both parties and is in our records at the NY location. And the parts and supplies were shipped to you.

I apologize to everyone for the long post, but felt that something needed to be said and that some facts of the story that are relevant should be known.

This post was not intended to start any controversy, but more so in reponse to the negative post previous and also to illustrate that we are truly focused on customer satisfaction to the best of our abilities while at the same time running a business that is successful.

We also we would rather spend time building transmissions and serving customers and as such we do not have the time nor the energy to tolerate any form of "bullying" of any kind.

In regards to the Forward Clutches being burnt, that is a problem that only occurs if the forward clutch area gets starved for fluid. The most likely cause of this is due to the filter not fully seated or falling off altogether both likely due to improper installation of the filter. If it was a transmission assembly/parts issue more than just the Forward Clutches would have failed.

Send it back.

ck leaky transmisson specialist

for starters you should test them in house like you say you do. Up on arrival bolts on pan were all different sizes with washers, look like a jake leg set-up. I PUT THE TRANNY IN AND PUT TRANS FLUID IN IT. THE NEXT MORNING I HAD TRANS FLUID ON THE FLOOR. JUST FIGURED I MAY HAVE SPILLED SOME AND IT DRIPPED DOWN. NOT THE CASE THE NEXT DAY MORE TRANNY FLUID. THIS WAS ON A SUNDAY. CALLED CK THE FOLLOWING WEEK.I TOLD YOU YHE PROBLEM YOU TOLD ME TO WAIT A FEW WEEKS AND SEE IF IS STILL LEAKING. (STILL LEAKS) trans has leaked from day one you have not fixed a f---ing thing. you can go ahead and make yourself look good all you want to the problem is their it was never resolved !!!!!! $1500.00 to 1800.00 for trannies with half a-- bolts in them with FLAT WASHERS and a dented pan is not a good deal. i have learned one thing not to buy trans from you!!!!!!! I will tell everybody i know.I am sure their a lot more they just havent step-up yet. MORE VENDORS WILL KNOW YOUR WAYS AND ALLREADY TOLD YOU SOME TODAY THAT HAVE DROPPED YOU BECAUSE OF BAD TRANNIES. SO DONT GO THEIR WITH ME ON THE POLITE SIDE TO MAKE YOUR-SELF LOOK GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

You should repost this in the vendor customer service section so more people will know about your problem since this thread was originally about input shafts.

you told us in march if we didnt send you a free deep transmission pan you were going to do this in feb or march.you got your free pan and now this.we also got a signed staatement from you that if we didnt give you a pan you would go public.the leak and dented pan was caused during shipping.certainly not our fault.plus the trans was purchased from poston a year and a half ago.my canadian rep and business partner mike tried to handle this in a proffessional manner and this is not the route you wanted to go,unfortunate for you.you called me a week ago and i offered to replace the forward clutches if bad for 100.00.this was after you extorted a free transmission deep pan filter and case of trans oil.now this .from an outsiders perspective it seems you have emotional issues .this is not the place to deal with them.however i have done my best to provide excellent service and products as well as customer relations .unfortunately you havent been receptive to our kind nature.we dont claim to be flawless or perfect as that certainly wouldnt be true but we do try to .we can go back and forth all day long here.the choice is yours.any person that had an issue with warrantee was always reimbursed and shipping covered within the warrantee period.also repairs after warrantee are not and never would be AN OPPORTUNITY FOR dishonest or unfair BEHAVIOR..i do have a excellent record for 95 % of everything i have done to promote the company as well as everything else that has materialized since its inception.MY RECORD SPEAKS FOR ITSELF ,GOOD OR BAD BAD AS VIEWED BY EACH INDIVIDUAL.MY GOOD DEEDS AND HONESTY WILL NOT GO UNNOTICED NOR HAVE THEY.SO START SPITTING NAILS AND LET EVERYONE DECIDE FOR THEMSELVES.ANYONE ELSE OUT THERE THAT HAS BEEN "JAKE LEGGED?" BY ME OR THE COMPANY FEEL FREE TO PILE ON,IM A BIG BOY I CAN HANDLE IT.AND THOSE WHO IVE DONE RIGHT ,LET IT BE KNOWN.and then your phone calls that your sending me the transmission meanwhile your doing this.enjoy the ride.we will hnor our bargain as stated in your signed fax.no further contact between us good or bad after you recieved your free stuff.if your were humble enough to apologize id still give you the opportunity to send it in for a repair but i dont think you know what that means :)

ANYONE ELSE OUT THERE THAT HAS BEEN "JAKE LEGGED?" BY ME OR THE COMPANY FEEL FREE TO PILE ON,IM A BIG BOY I CAN HANDLE IT

Who has been "JAKE LEGGED"... speak up. ;)

now back to input shafts....sounds like Chris is the only game in town at this moment....

i have 3 in stock as of today and can ship them asap.anyone in need of one just let us know.no there not at the machinist they are on my shelf.

I don't have my WE4 anymore, but still lurk here and read posts. Chris, you may or may not remember, but you helped me over the phone many times, about 2 years ago when I was attempting to rebuild my 200r4. I defy anybody to show me a vendor that will go to a further amount of trouble to help a customer than Chris.
I can understand being upset about a damaged trans as they are not cheap, but demanding free parts under the threat of an internet "witch burning" is BS. I have heard it said many time by the owners of businesses that the Buick crowd is the hardest to please. I think it was posted here that the reason Eagle quit selling Buick cranks is because all anyone did was bitch about them.

I have heard it said many time by the owners of businesses that the Buick crowd is the hardest to please.

Yeah .... well maybe its because we've got history of being screwed by vendors and being sold crap at a premium price. The older owners have seen it all and are understandably a skeptical lot when something new comes down the pipe...
