SignUp Now!The converter you are using was probably specd for a 600+whp application (which it should be at least that with a 6765) and youre probably making a lot less than that. Your old converter was junk if it let the engine get to 5800 in 3rd and the car trapped less than 125mph in the quarter. If you throw some power at it it will act differently.dang
guess i should have stayed with stock trans and 10" LU ? i used to take it to 55-5800 on the 10" and stock trans then i went to a 6765 and nonlock now less rpms? hmm
should i try to put it in 1st and see if i can get it past 5k? i keep thinking it is the trans, cause i have had a couple issues since the install. I was hoping something was off inside? 2nd gear is almost not working too if i have it in there by itself i can rev it to 3k or more while drivng. that is why i think something else may be screwy. Not to mention the valve body s rod thing was installed bakerds originally
thanks
Also a possibility is that the one-way clutch in the stator is locked up, not freewheeling after stall speed causing internal fluid drag.
Good luck,
Kevin.
Dusty, I was not inferring a defect of one of your products, only passing along information as to how a "locked up stator" can restrain an engines output.
I'm sure you know what I'm talking about, but many here may not understand how to diagnois a defective stator clutch.
Kevin.
