Trust me, I ...... agree with all of the above statements but since it was her first car that we bought her and for her 16th birthday and she has sweat labor in it, the car is now in " I will never get rid of it but it might take me a few years to repair it " limbo. My wife is on board with her thoughts as well. Every time I bring up going to look at a roller, I get the silent treatment as if no one heard me.
If this is the case, it's probably because it's coming only out of your pocket... If the daughter wants to fix the wrecked body, she should have to pay for it out of pocket. THEN, maybe a "cheaper" alternative might seem more reasonable. My sisters kids are like this as well. Absolutely no concept of money and what things actually cost. As far as they're concerned, you should just be able to have what you want because it's what you want. (Damned kids these days!)
