go with the edelbrock performer intake.i originally i had the 4.1 intake and it was ok,then i was given a holley dominator intake and it worked good but it was a single plane intake.so i got a performer intake and that worked great.:D

if your using the 600 on the 3.8 then yes thats a little to much.i use a holley 4160 390 cfm on my 3.8 and it works great.

i got the same kit in my 84 and it made a big difference.i also changed the weak 2.41 rear to a 3.08 and shifts are firm and crisp.

well i can't speak for everybody,but my 84 got the 231 with a .030 overbore with a mild cam,a holley dominator intake with a 4160 390 cfm holley carb.the rear is a open 3.08 and the tranny is a 350t with the b&m shift kit,and everybody that i took for a ride thought i had a 350 under the hood...
