I think it's just crappy pics of the interior as far as the color goes. Those are the original seat covers. The way I tell if they have been redone or a set of aftermarket covers have been installed is to look at the lines where the cover is hog-ringed to the foam. The factory is nice crisp lines. The aftermarkets always look a little haggered and loose. And than there is a little color mismatch. I just installed a new set on my drivers seat. I've spent more time than I cared to trying to acheive that crisp line...and I still haven't gotten it right. You'd have to be really anal to notice the different shade of gray used too. I really dont care about the color. They are a heck of a lot better than the ripped ones I replaced anyway.

So since the odometer turns half as slow that means this car might be a 6600-7000 mile car? To bad the PO's didn't treat it right. I'm trying to find my catalog but that unit looks like the one an outfit by the name of Crystalite Engineering used to sell. Still out of the 80's.

Buying over the counter dash speedo clusters complete with the 145 MPH overlay already done just became popular in the last couple of years with Dennis Kirban. Previous to this, I believe that all companies that offered this only offered this available as a dash overlay and you had to have it done yourself. Considering that this particular car has the 160° decal on the speedo dash glass that was available in late '80's and early '90's, and popular then and not now, leads me further to believe that this probably is a very low mileage car and I have no reason to believe that the mileage is incorrect or has been tampered with.

BTW, Bryan, who's keeping an eye out for that original 5K + mile GN out of Kalifornica that has been surfacing and re-surfacing on E-scam every so often. Did that one ever turn on E-bay a while back?

no.

if the ODO says 11K, it would actually have 11K/.6, not 11K * .6, so it could have 18K miles on it.

Okay. You confused me with the mile to kilo conversion. I thought it was mile to mile. If that's the case than both of us are wrong because thats a 145MPH face which would have different graduations than the 140KPH face. Thats assuming it has a .600 overdriven adapter. Still a low miler.

I used to run a 200KPH European speedo in my 85 MCSS. Yeah I can order that stuff because I have the secret part numbers. The local speedo shop recalibrated it to MPH. It was hard to read with such a narrow graduation between the numbers. You'd be sweating bullets when a cop was behind you because you couldn't tell if you were 10 over the limit or 12-15 over the limit.

Ok Eric here is a good metric conversion i use

if you take a metric hammer and swing............LOL

I couldnt get plane tickets to fly down this weekend, they wanted like 240 each way, when im used to the spirit airlines 9 dollar fares..lol
