The Guy gave me no grief at all , He said whatever you want Ill do, He does alot of custom work at the saturday shop that he works at , Alot of hot rods in there even a Syclone that had its frame swapped out to a 2wd frame then relocated the rear frame rails TOP Notch work going on in there!! The only downside is no mandrel bending machiene so some of the tight bends were made of multiple pieces for better flow, AN Important note that he mentioned to me is that the cooler the exhaust the less volume it takes , SO being theese mods were made to the rear section of the exhaust there shouldnt be much back pressure added, Hey Matt The box is from a Malibu without A/C , Not sure what year I bought it over the net

Benny- the heater box has a nice clean factory look to it. what mufflers did you end up going with? any part numbers would be appreciated. your car looks great as usual.

Thanks Matt the dual mufflers were not changed they are the summit "cheap" muffs with 14" cases I think they go for like 20.00 a piece, The Third muffler is a Dynomax 17276 Stainless steel with a 20" case, It cost 200.00 I think summit has them for a lil cheaper though.

Did you notice a drop in boost after the install? Any chance you have a test pipe/dump and could do back-to-back capped up and uncapped passes or at least 3rd gear boost checks? I love quiet and this sounds great!

There has been no performance testing at all , As a matter of fact I am having some turbo problems and have been keeping the boost at 5psi if that , I generally would not be driving the car around like this but I wanted to keep my appointment with the exhaust guy. P.S I have an electronic boost controller so I wouldnt see any boost changes if there were any.

Just to give you guys an idea how quiet the car is I can hear my intank walbro 340 from 4-5 feet away , My G35 coupe exhaust is also louder than the GN now

C'mon. Stop teasing. We need pics. :p

So you did not use the dynomax 14" mufflers just some cheap summit $20 ones in front?

Yup they were on the car from last year, There the small ones I think 14" case oval though NOT bullet style

yes, me too. I have the muffler in hand now, and will be getting the pipes done as soon as the weather breaks.

Which ones did you end up putting on? I still want mine to steath. The only problem is I love the trubo whine out of the exhaust. Sounds just like diesel truck with strait pipe.

I have thought of putting a small (1/4") hole in the test pipe cap, and perhaps putting a small piece of pipe (1/4" I.D. x a few inches long) in that hole to let the high frequencies out, but not the low ones.....

The three mufflers are all ultraflow stainless.

Wow!

The results are:.........................................

The drone is GONE

The car is incredibly quiet, about like it was stock.....

No drone at all, now the valvetrain is the loudest thing on the car.......

Looks good Turbobob!! Is that all mandrel bent? Looks alot cleaner than mine I think but then again I havent been under mine in months to remember but my guy couldnt do mandrel :( Like stock is the best explanation to use on how it sounds.
