Here's my take on this....
I have an idea that I've been kicking around for quiet sometime now. Actually since '99 and even more so when I wrote my article in Fastest Streetcar magazine back in '05.
If I were to start a magazine, it would be called Buick Performance Magazine or BPM for short.
It would not be limited to just Turbo V6 powered cars, but would include all Buick powered performance cars. GS, GSX, GN, T-Types, Turbo Ts, GNXs, FWD 3800 powered Buicks, the whole slew of them. Basically everything from the beginning to today, with history lessons thrown in for good measure. Us Buick performance people out there have been screaming for something like this for years. This is why we are so fond of GMHTP cause they haven't forgotten about us. If you are like me, I always check magazines like Dupont Registry, Hemmings, Musclecar magazines and pretty much all of them for anything that relates to Buicks.
The way I see it is this, if Pontiac can have two magazines, Mopars have 2, Hot Rods have tons, Fords have 7, Chevies have like 15 million and only one dedicated GM Performance magazine, why can't we have a Buick only style magazine. I would love to be a writer for this type of magazine, traveling around doing photo shoots, writing articles and the likes. I learned a lot from my former immediate boss Rod Short when I was at PTE. He has been writing, photographing and editing for many of the major car magazines for over 15 years. This would be our chance to really have a nice magazine dedicated to Buicks only. Different articles on hybrids, classics, show cars, race cars, race event coverage, how toos, etc etc. My ideas are endless.
What does everyone think?
Just trying to keep the fire burning if ya know what I mean.
