We have been getting many calls asking if the SS4 kit will fit 15" wheels or not, The answer is YES but with the following Notes:

The SS4 front system uses a 11'' rotor and fits easily in most 15" wheels, while the rear SS4 system uses a 12" rotor and may be a tighter fit on some 15" wheels.

On the SS4 rear system with 15" wheels either BAER or GNS will ship you a cut out template just to make sure they will fit properly before ordering ..

a list of which OEM wheel will fit this nice upgrade

Nice if a list would get started

Anyone fit the front SS4 to a 84' TType 15" wheel??

To everyone . Scott of gns performance is the man for your brakes and suspension. I ordered the Baer brakes for my gn and Scott along with Rick of Baer brakes were a great help. Take advantage of the free shipping!!! Keep on boosting... Jose of Miami.

Does that include a 15" stock GN wheel with 4" BS?

How about a stock GN with stock wheels? I have a set of wilwood fronts that I still have not put on. Would much rather do this!!! Will it fit stock GN wheels?

Jose,

Thanks! :) It was a please talking to you and your brother! If you need anything else let me know!

Scott, send me an e-mail at work (RickE@Baer.com). I will e-mail you a template, this is a dimensional drawing of the brake that you print (on a normal piece of paper), cut out and fit in the wheel. This will tell you for sure if the brake will fit the wheel. I will send instructions (with pics), and our new flyer to you.

The hardest part of template checking is you have to pull a front wheel. :)

I have had plans to check the GN and T-Type wheel... I have been swamped lately at work (sorry guys... I am slacking). The SS4+ fits all kinds of wheels, I believe it will fit both.

Thx!
Rick

Gary,

I believe you were the one that also e-mailed me about a template?

Have you had a chance to check your wheels yet?

Thx!
Rick

Not yet, dealing with the typical Summer temps and
such. Yesterday it made it to 99/100 and my heart can't handle that (anymore).
Officially on SS at 65 :frown:

I know how it is!

It is low 100's here today..... I am already sick of the heat and it just starting hitting 100s :)

Let me know what you find out.

Thx

If you would like to ship me a full set I can see if they clear and will provide very detailed photo's for you.

I don't think you will ever find brakes that will be equivalent to a trans brake but when you have more pistons clamping down on the front that equals to more clamping force. I don't do much drag racing with my car anymore but im sure Dusty Bradford can answer this better as he just went with the BAER dual caliper set up on the rear of his car. That is the way to go if your drag racing.

Need brakes that will hold car on line to launch.:confused:Engine has 750 Hp to the ground.Need equivilent launch compared to trans brake.

The dual caliper set-up will be the best way to go to get the hardest launch possible. A loose converter can also help. I can hold 4000 rpm with the Baer dual calipers and my converter is super tight for a big block. I'm sure 4500 or more rpm is possible with the V6.

The rear brakes are the best way to handle holding a drag car. The front tires are so small that you get very little holding power from front brakes.
