Congrats on becoming a vendor!! This latest batch of headers sure looks better than the last. Are downpipe's for these headers available from you also?

I got my replacement headers as well! (bought 2 sets)
I talked to Sam a bit on the phone about 2 weeks ago. Then a mysterous box showed up. Just like Christmas....

Sam is a great guy, and for the price, these things are awesome.

I'm gonna give them a try. They sure as hell are ALOT better than stockers. Anyone who thinks the stock headers are good are smoking good stuff. Mine cracked under a TE44 turbo and they couldn't be saved. The material they used from the factory is plain garbage. I can't see how these new stainless headers can be worse...even if the fitment isn't 100% perfect I have a local hookup on the best fab/welders in the area. For under $300 you can't go wrong made in China or not.

Hey I'm in need of a 3.5" stainless external downpipe...can you make those too!? :)

What alloy stainless are these?
What wall thickness is the tubing?
Is that a ceramic coating or are they just polished?
Thanks.

re

Sorry guys, no intention on offending anyone I just never had any luck with any steel comming out of Shezchuan be it the parts ive mention for my vettes or a breakerbar that now looks like a banana after 2 pulls.

But the pics do look nice and I have a long way to go with this new aquisition of mine before im ready to try

Here are some pix...

Nice pix, but take a look at picture number 3. Are you really proud of what is shown???? I doubt you'll get an O2 sensor or EGT screwed all the way into those threads/holes.

Yeah Dave the bottom of the threads are nasty but when you look at how deep the bung is you shouldn't have any problems. I didn't notice the bottom of the threads on mine so I can't say if they are like that are not but I can say that I didn't have any trouble getting my O2 sensor or EGT probe in. Those bungs are deeper than the stockers and Poston's headers that I compared them to.

In the picture, I'm only seeing three threads before running into a ton of weld slag, and outboard of that are no threads???

Good eye Dave. With that thick of an external bung is the O2 even getting into the air stream correctly?

Looks like the pics were taken with plugs installed in the bungs. We could be seeing the end of the bolt.

I want to see pics of the "money shot". The corrected problem.

Out of my price range now since I need a new DP. But maybe later I'll be able to afford something.

Thanks for bringing that up. I was going to mention that there were no shots looking into the exit of the passenger side header.

3.5" what about 4" By the way i'm gonna try these headers got to remove mine anyways due to a retorque on RJC gaskets! By the way anyone know the lb for retorque? 85-90 lb?

I've been sceptical, but I ordered a set.

I'll post when they get here. I don't have a dog in this hunt other than I'm looking to get a set of headers that will work.

This debate is gonna roll on and on and on regardless of what anybody says though...

But, if Sam is sending out new headers to people with problems with the ones they bought earlier, wow. Talk about customer service.

I'll roll the dice.

that bung area looks pretty bad. you have any other pics that we can see?
