I got heads laying around as well as a spare intake& TB. Not looking for a RACE PORT JOB, just something more feel flowing to increase both HP & TQ.

heard it was a waste of money to pay for a mild port job. So i plan on doing it myself. Any tips or anybody got any pictures(before& after) I plan to do the whole valves, springs etc while I'm at it. Nothing major just few mods let the engine breath better.
Advice welcome

Here is one of the best picture threads on porting.
http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/engine-tech/216319-gn1-rs-ported-unported-stock-heads.html

Focus 80% of your total efforts in the bowl area, 5% on port matching and 15% on a GREAT valve seat!
I prefer the "constant radius seat" as opposed to the 3 angle valve job.
When I used to do valve jobs on stock SBC parts, I used to do an 8 angle valve job, so i know it can be done.

What turbo/boost do you plan to run?

That's a nice thread there;) Thanks for the info. Boost would be no more then 20lbs. Although I won't set the boost any higher then 15 until alky. I plan on getting a cam kit within a year, might as well P&P the heads to go with it
