I would like to be the first to congradulate my buddy Eric M. on his back to back 10 second passes on pump gas and a DIY alky injection kit! Eric has sought the coveted 10 second pass for some time now and pulled it off in BG with a 10.8 and 10.9 back to back. Eric's car ran these passes on a VERY modest state of tune and a weak footbrake launch.....With a much needed T brake Eric's car is quite capable of mid to lower 10's as is! There is something to be said about a guy that disconnects his costly FAST fuel management system to run the stock ECM. Without guys like Eric doing R&D on chips for the factory ECM, we would forced to settle for second best....congrats!

Nice Job for sure!!!!!!

Get him to post what his DIY setup consists of. ;)

Wonder if he has a DPS unit in there. :D

Eric was all smiles for sure... He deserves it.. work hard.. you will get your results.

Yes, I was very happy. Feels like a huge load off your shoulders when all the time and money actually produce results.

The fastest was 10.89 @ 124.6mph, 1.6 60'.
Timing was 23° in 1st and 2nd, 21° in 3rd, boost was 23-24psi.
A/F on the wideband was 11.5 throughout the run. O2's started at 820 and ended at 750. Max knock retard was 1.8° on that run.

Salvage, nope, no more DPS...too complicated:), and I've learned more about the alcohol/fuel/timing relationship since those days.

Ford F150 inline pump, hobbs switch, solenoid, nos .030" jet, set to come on at about 8-10psi. I don't necessarily recommend that setup (especially the hobbs), its just what I had on there at the time.

GN1 heads, LT72 turbo (doesn't need to be that big), V2 frontmount, 72# injectors.

Thanks to my KC buddies for their help and advice. I probably would not have drove the car to BG if Joe hadn't talked me into it. But it made the trip fine.

Eric, how about burning me a chip to put me in the 10s.:D Just kidding man. I will be contacting you as soon as my new combo is broken in though. So far I've put a whopping 10 miles on it in 2 months. Only 490 more until I can see what my new combo will do.

I'm not sure who was more happy...you or your wife??? I think Jen was just as happy to see all that $$$ and time produce some good time slips. I remember 3 years ago when I finally got my GN to run in the 10's, that weight being lifted off was great! I had the burdon of all the KC guys giving me crap for the car not performing like it should....my excuse was and still is that at the time our local track sucked terribly. Anyhow, all it took was a good hook and 25 psi to get'er done. Now I'm at a point with the TTA being back to a stock shortblock to get the thing to trap 120+ on alky/pump.....it's comming once that "thing" we talked about in BG comes to fruition...can hardly wait:)

Congrats Eric! Wish i could have stayed and seen those runs. Cant wait to try your chip next weekend. See ya Bob.

congrats

Congratulations Eric,

your chips are second to none and you are a great guy. Continued success.
