This guy sold me a kenne bell air dam that was in excellent condition and like new paint He said it was in good condition when it left his house 2 days ago and has never been broken. guess somebody riveted the plates on the back at fedex!! refuses to give me a refund.

I assume those are for reinforcement purposes... it was never broken and repaired if that's what you were implying. Not to my knowledge anyways, since it came on the car when I bought it years back. There were multiple guys begging me to sell it to them... who messaged me after you told me you wanted it; maybe you should post it back up for sale if you're unhappy with it, it would sell in a minute... but good luck finding another!!!!!

there is bondo on the opposite side of the plates. I can assure you they are not factory. it HAS been broken and repaired. if you want I can post pics on the forum for opinions. I am not posting it for sale, you can when you get it back.

Sorry, but I refuse to take it back. Maybe you should post, because it looked good to me on and off the car. Are you looking for perfection out of a 15 year old discontinued air dam... good luck

Any chipping on the painted area of the airdam occurred during shipping, because it was mint when I packaged it up, and that is a fact. It is a big , cumbersome piece and I packed it as well as I could. I insured it for the selling price, if that is an issue.

As far as the metal plates on the back... I assumed those were put on for reinforcement purposes, as I did not buy the item new. It came on the car that I purchased years ago and was painted when the car was repainted. It was never broken and repaired as you are implying. It is a 10-15 year old fiberglass airdam that is out of production for years now... yet you are looking for perfection on the front and back of it.

I've been on this forum for 10 years with countless transactions... I'm not out to screw anybody, but I shouldn't have to take something back because FedEx put a couple of scratches on it and you are not happy. This is why I posted the photos of the item in the thread and then sent you a PM with 2-3 additional photos once it was OFF the car. You gave me the green light to ship it and I did in a very timely manner.

I don't think it's fair to me to take it back.

I sent you all the pics you asked for though. Like I said, I assumed those were plates were reinforcements so it doesn't snap at the corners. I've never seen another one to compare to... the visible parts of the air dam are perfect, except for the chips which was done by FedEx!

I'm done replying here, I guess we'll let paypal handle my only claim on there (and on here) in 10+ years.

any damage? genuine KB?

It's genuine KB and has their name embossed on the IC scoop. No damage aside from maybe a rock chip or two, it was recently painted though and looks mint. A lot of these (although not many left) have chunks broken off from potholes and such. This one has barely seen any street duty, this 87 was stored for 3-4 years. I just pulled it out of storage and cleaned the cobwebs off of it today

Looks like you have enough pictures and documentation of the listed part to support your case. Paypal will probably refund your money. Just make sure you send them it all. I hate those fiberglass pieces KB made. They're nothing but a pain in the ass. Good luck. Maybe you two can come to some sort of resolution instead of going thru paypal. If it were me, id just cut you back some cash.

I will do it for $100. I will still have $300 in this thing. Im not too worried about the small cracks that "fedex" did, its the places with huge cracks that have metal holding it together.

I really hate how you are implying that those cracks were there prior to shipping. This picture was taken 3 days ago... I took it off the very next day and shipped it out.

You make it sound like the thing is held together by duct tape and paperclips, and that I didn't send you an array of photos before getting your approval to ship. The fact of the matter is that the plates on the back have NO bearing on what it looks like on the front, and were probably put there for structural purposes, since it could easily snap into 3 pieces under its own weight, if improperly held. Where is the bondo you are speaking of? I don't see it and wouldn't have shipped it if it was in that kind of condition. I wasn't aware you were such a perfectionist, looking for the non-visible part of the air dam to be prettier than the part people will actually see.

Why did I even pay to put $400 of insurance on it if it is my responsibility in the end to reimburse you? How does that even make sense? I am trying to work with you, but you are being unreasonable. You gave absolutely no chance to work it out with you; you PM'ed me demanding a full refund, followed by a claim on paypal which you instantly escalated to a claim. Now you want $100 back, non negotiable? I am trying to work with you here.

He wants me to send him $100, and then take his word that he will drop the claim when the funds are received. I am doing everything I can to work with him, but it seems he is either a very unreasonable person or a professional scammer trying to get a free air dam and $100 on top of it.

the pics certainly dont represent its condition but things do get fuked up in transit often. minumum wage employess throwing chit around could care less so it happens often.

as far as the plates go if he had nothing to compare them to I too might think they are there for support but he should have sent pics from all angles.
