SignUp Now!Thanks! I had it running great on straight 93. So far, the race chip isn't seeing it's potential yet since i'm able to get only 1 or 2 more pounds of boost and a few degrees of timing. I feel like i'm wasting the 110 octane gas. Today i'm going to try to 'stretch' the spring in the RJC boost controller and see if I can get the boost up to about 24 or 25 psi. It'd be great if they equipped it with a different spring. I've heard many folks talk about not getting much above 22psi with it without modifying it.500 hp on 93!!!You have one of the coolest buicks. Good stuff
I'm curious, what RPM's were your peak HP and Tq ? My torque peaked at 4800, and the HP pretty much was flat between 4800 and 5200, then fell off after that. By 5500 it was done.Mine did 555 hp at 21psi on pump and alky at 9.8:1 af . ..I think you would be much higher than that.

If you were on 116 and had the boost up into the 30psi range your converter would have flashed much higher and the peak power would display higher on the dyno.Pretty sure it was just short of 5200
I will have to find the log

I'll check the gaps and ohm-check the coil pack when i get home. Hey LilTruck, funny you mentioned 4800 rpm. I noticed that my dyno chart was smooth until 4800, then after that it looked like a child scribbled everywhere. I believe they run a pickup wire off of one of the spark plug wires to the dyno computer. There is definitely an issue somewhere in the ignition then. My MPH should have been closer to 130.
I have never dyno'd with 116...nor higher than 21-22psi but I cant wait to push it and see what it will do. Thanks for the tuning you did on my car in May at RCs shop!If you were on 116 and had the boost up into the 30psi range your converter would have flashed much higher and the peak power would display higher on the dyno.
I just looked up the dyno run, peak HP at 5806 RPM, peak TQ at 5807 RPM...I didnt remember it being that high actuallyI'm curious, what RPM's were your peak HP and Tq ? My torque peaked at 4800, and the HP pretty much was flat between 4800 and 5200, then fell off after that. By 5500 it was done.
I guess that makes sense, since you're running a 224 roller. I would have thought that my combo, given the awesome flowing heads (full CNC'd aluminum GN1's) should be peaking much higher than it's 4800-5200 zone. Perhaps once I figure out this possible ignition issue it will pull much higher and stronger. What also find strange is that my valves are floating by 5800 with PAC 1201 springs.I just looked up the dyno run, peak HP at 5806 RPM, peak TQ at 5807 RPM...I didnt remember it being that high actually
