I have 50 miles on my Zimmerman build. To hot to race so probably september before it hits the track.

I was over at Zimmerman's last week. He's building a lot of buick motors right now.

My new motor is there too, but I missed this round of buick builds. It takes awhile to get the custom rods/crank/pistons... Not to mention my heads are still at champion getting repaired.

Hey Krom, happy with the motor so far?

The Aluminum heads from the Limited really woke it up.

It's a stroker 109 build. Not quite an all out build, but close.
It's at the point that I should really go to a stage block if I'm going to put anymore $$$ into it.

Good luck with your motor and hopefully we see it running at the WCN!
I take it the sand box isn't in Tucson?

So Krom, does that mean we're going see tens next season?

Only will run as fast as my current safety equipment.;)

no the sand box over seas. i will be at the WCN i just want to run 11's. it should run that this year im sure. if not im going to blame nick.

How long did it take for Zimmerman to build your motor?

I just got mine back for Mike, it took 3 months. He does good work but it took some time. We'll see how it runs in a couple of months.

Stoker kit, SI alum heads, level 1 port job, roller cam, 1.65 rocker arms, 75hp nitrous, t54 turbo, and 3000 stall con. going in a 63 impala with air ride suspension and 9" with wilwood brakes all around.

I think 6 weeks but I caught him at a time when he was not backed up and I had most of the parts so no big delivery delay.

i really hate the internet over here i cant see the pics just really small ones and i cant click on them because there blocked. im guess he has direct port Nitrous injection. thats cool what turbo you going to be running. you using it just for spool up?

wilkinshc

what type controller are you using for the NOS,
how adjustable,
thanks

You should be able to click on the link with all the pics of the 63 impala, if you go to the end you will see the engine.

We are running a t54 and use it all through the run. We are using a precision 3000 stall torque convertor. So we really don't need it for spooling.

In the past we just used a throttle switch which activated at full throttle. Now we will use a Jacob controller and will start at 50% and will bring it up to 100% in 2 seconds. We are going to use 75hp jets to start with and have 125hp as secondary jets when we're ready.
