Dave Poppe runs 9.60 @ 140 with a stock fuel line.
The fuel system needs attention if the car is going 135+mph in the quarter. Some have gone over140. Some are melting the #1 cylinder at 135-136. Not worth risking your expensive engine because of lean out.

Is most of these guys running alky at those speeds with the stock lines? Or race gas only?
So is it the rail design that causes that?
I know of 2 personally that have gone mid 9's at 147 to 150. Heard of a guy running 160 with stock lines, double pumper, external XP pump. I am going to be running the set up out of the one mid 9 sec car this year, shooting for 140 to 145.

Well i have had a problem with feeding #55's on a bank2bank system. I think that if one is using large injectors and a bank2bank efi the fuel rail needs to be fed on both ends.
I seem to have enough fuel till about 4800 rpms and then it goes lean.
but a friend of mine with xfi with 55's and a single pump has more than enough fuel.
Why push it?
If you have enough HP to be worried about it....you have already spent stupid money. Why cheap out on fuel? If that's your reason..
If stock appearing is the reason...get over it. When you are at the track running 140mph...nobody's gonna think its stock anyway.
Why take a chance on blowing you motor?
Anyway..just my 2 pennies.
160 with stock lines? Who was it. Doesnt seem too realistic to me. 1150+hp through stock lines.
