The turbo I have is a Garrett TV 71 ? It has a 102mm comp wheel and
a 94mm exhaust wheel it has 4 bolt split exhaust entry I will need a
V band on both intake and exhaust sides. This turbo is vintage 1986
so obviously a lot has changed. I would appreciate any suggestions.

thanks
Steve

In order to help you better it's best to list your combo and your goals..

Similarly sized stuff these days supports 1100-1200hp on a v8 car. What are you looking to do?

The motor is a 183" stage II Kinsler injected, 8.5 c/r,2.08 intake ,1.60 ex valves, tit. and inconel
large intercooler ( 15"X30"X 5") cam roller with rev kit ported stage II heads Engine orignally
built by Mclaren. Road race motor with 5 speed manual transaxle ,red line 9000 rpm
T&D, Milidon gear drive
I hope this helps

That's one serious engine!
What is your intentions, if I may ask? Strip, street, or strip/street?

I'm familiar w/mclaren, I was just wondering if you intended to utilize it for drags or street use. Technology has come a long way since 86 and a newer performance specific turbo would have to be worth it to you. Depending on the seriousness of your racing and the high expense involved. The combo is a proven package and even at 86 level, it will perform, how-be-it may need a rebuuild.
