The timing is variable from 5000-5600. Lowest at flash stall and some comes back as it recovers. I think it was 17.5* actual at flash and 19* at 5500? Might have been 18.5* at 5500. This timing info doesn't mean crap on another car even with the same exact parts unless timing was verified. The tdc position was verified on assembly and the timing was verified on this engine after if was started. Without doing that comparing to another car that didn't verify is a waste of timeBrian,
How much timing?
If you want to get more out of it and want to keep the simple 5.7 chip you can have the timing vary by mph. You will be able to get more out of it. I can say if I ran 19* on my engine with the boost and heads I had it would be on the edge by the 1100' mark.Mmmm interesting. I just ran my car, chip timing was set at 19° however after second car wouldn't start. Discovered cam sensor moved 60° CW. Still ran 123.xx bucking down the track.
