New guy with question PT-61

well i just bought a 87 regal t type from a forum member on here his name was grey1, i had some turbo questions this car supposedly has a PT-61 turbo and i was just wonder what size mm turbo it is and any other info that someone could give me about it would be awsome. Right now the cars seeing about 25lbs of boost and all i can say is this thing is fast, fastest car i have ever owned and im really looking forward to spring to improve it even more.

So whats size in mm is the PT-61 and what kinda boost levels can it make?

What fuel are you using? Alcohol Injection? You will have to measure the wheels to varify the turbo. I'm not sure what the wheel measurements would be though. Someone will jump in and tell us that soon though. I had a 61 at one time but an't remember what it measured. Was a good turbo.

Look on the compressor outlet for these numbers...6131,6152,or 6176. These are three versions of the 61 that I know of.

With the 69 or 76 ex wheel that turbo will go mid 10's. The 6152 will run 10's also. The 6131 is a mismatch of wheels IMO. The 61 compressor will flow about 35% more than the 31 turbine can flow. A good converter is needed to get the most out of the 6152, 6179, or 6176
