Just want to hear some of your answers to help me with my response.

How do all the LC-2 non GN owners answer the question: “Is that a Grand National?”

Do you take the time to explain the differences between the packages and options for your year and receive a blank stare  or do you just say yes and move on? ;)

"No, Grand Nationals got the twin Turbo"

Actually, I just say "Grand Nationals are heavier and slower"

I say "No, its a T Type"

I say "No, its a T Type"

That's usually what I try to do but I have an 87 so I have to then explain how the option was changed from T-Type to T and that it could be had with any engine, etc. etc.......... Starts to get exhausting. :(

being that my T Type is an '84, i don't have the LC2.. but i always answer that question by saying that a GN is my car with black paint, a front air dam and rear spoiler, and a gray bucket seat interior.

My 86 T-type is black anyway so its just not worth the effort anymore lol. I usually just say yep and move on unless they seem really interested then I explain it to them

i explain my TR is like a lx mustang with the 5.0 ................same engine but lighter/faster...............

I have an 86 so I just say "It's a T-Type, same drivetrain and suspension as the GN but without the fancy paint and interior and cheaper on insurance" :-).

My answer Are you dumb? Of course it's a GN! How could you possibly not know it's a GN? Boy, you sure are a loser!:D

The WH1 paint scheme is close enough to what the Highway Patrol uses in this state so I just tell the dumber ones mine is a retired police interceptor, even when I have the t-tops out at least one out of every 8 people fall for it....

i just tell them yes.

my car has no badges on it except monochrome t-type center caps from BFH back in the day on some GTA wheels.

No it's not. Has the exact same power-train though.

Thats my line too but they always reply with " but the grand nationals are faster right" Or "the grand nationals got the twin turbo or v8 turbo right

All great answers!

Yeah, then you can either put in 10 minutes trying to explain it all or just smile and nod.

Maybe we should all go in and get pamphlets printed up to explain.

I just tell them it's a "Wanna be GN". That's what they want to hear. I had one of the guys at work ask me about mine. I said it's not a GN but it has the same guts. He replied with, "well, It's almost a GN."
