Beautiful car. That waste gate idea is great, I'm just pulling my drivers seat out when I get mine painted. :D

i did that as well but let me tell you i have done some mean burnouts and what not with just a crate as a seat.

Here's my car. Ain't she pretty

This is after being stripped down to bare metal. I'll post the new paint pictures soon.

kinda boring pics, but i'll post anyways. Most recent mod is the Lt1 alternator. I must say, by replacing neg & pos batt cables, and all the bonding jumpers, and adding some additional ones, along with the 140 amp lt1alt upgrade,... everything electrically has really woken up. Head lights are brighter, windows faster, seems like engine even starts faster now. Also just installed front air shroud kit that where installed on the 86/87's. Gbody parts just started selling them. My theory for doing that was of the thinking that I would have a heat barrier inbetween my cold air kit and the area inbetween the grill and radiator when I'm stopped or at slow speeds. Might make a differance? who knows, looks nice, and certainly can't hurt anything.
I've been very pleased with the progress of this car. I'm basically on hold at this point until we find out what kind of results brad padgett is going to have with his 3" dp manufacture. Then its time for bigger turbo, ported intake, injectors, alky, stall, money shredder... etc.

tb3

I would like to do the lt1 alternator update.
can you list what i need to do this

TB3- I will send you a PM. I do not hijack threads but what I have to say will be posted on the proper thread. Brad.

Fritz.... Use this thread here:
http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/ho...ot-air-cars.html?highlight=alternator+upgrade

1. 90's LT1 alt ($140-ish)
2. the proper plug-in jack for the back of it ($4-ish)
3. a alt/ac bracket from a 80's non-turbo carbed 231 buick engine (I got mine brand new for about $20 off ebay)

You will have to reclock it, I can take a close up pic of mine if you'd like.
Don't want to get thread off topic, sooo.....
post those hot-air pics guys.
