Tuesday night we had a little after hours fire in the shop. No one got hurt, the Buick got a little smoked out, we lost a couple machines and one of our snowmobiles is a total loss. Not sure what happened the fire guys cant figure it out. We have lots of clean up to do and we are working it out with the insurance company. We are here as much as we can be every day and we are shipping parts every day too, we have some air quality issues so we may not be here all day until that is sorted out, (next couple days) if you call and we don't answer PLEASE leave a message, we will call you back. Emails will be returned but a couple computers are being cleaned so if you don't get an answer call or wait. We did not lose any inventory but it does small a bit like bar-b-q (lame joke) and we are shipping all orders on time that is our top prriority, Shop work is suspended for now until we get it cleaned and painted, it took most of the hit. They tell me this will not take long.
thanks,
Mike Licht

Holy Cow! Glad it wasn't worse Mike.

Thanks, the shop is pretty messed up actually the firemen likely did more damage than the fire, they single handedly destroyed the dynojet with water and it was not even on fire.

Thanks Bob I have to clean the car but I cant take it out of the shop until the adjuster gets here later, making me a little crazy.

methanol cuts the soot pretty well.

you will likely never get totally rid of the smell.

your paint will likely start to crack next year, as the fire may have shrunk it.

been there...

sigh.

Mike,
Sorry to hear this. Hope the insurance company does what you paid them to do, and helps to get you back back up running soon.
Thanks for all you've done for us. Let us know if we can help.

Mike,

Sorry about the fire and secondary damage from putting it out. Will your insurance cover the damage?

Neal

So far the insurance people have been very kind and understanding since our business is a little different than most. Biggest problem is that they wont let me take the car out until Monday when the other adjuster can get here. Thanks for the support we are open and shipped boxes yesterday.
Mike

Good to hear no one was hurt. Fire soot makes a hell of a mess. I still have soot residue from rebuilding three engines that were a loss in Dennis fire. (Lost three turbo Buicks and the whole shop). Good luck with the rebuilding. Ken.
