I have a thread going over in the performance ECM upgrade section but wanted to post my question here to hopefully get some additional exposure.
I’m running a set of TA aluminum heads with Bob’s TR6 ignition and i need to get some spark plugs for it. I’ve been running the wrong style plugs with the TR6 (no resistor) and the car breaks up into boost. Since I’ve been the dumb arse running the wrong plugs, I’m having a heck of a time finding the correct ones.
The challenge seems to be i need a plug with a 3/4” reach, with a resistor, to work with a 5/8” socket and non-projected. All I’m seeing that will fit those heads are with projected tips. All the non-projected plugs don’t have a long enough reach. I’ve checked NGK, Autolite and Denso. I’m sure there are plenty of others out here with the same setup that can point me in the right direction. Any help is much appreciated!
