TH400 locks up

[TURBO 6]

Guys my th400 locks up the tires when I shift it to second gear. It only has first and reverse. What would cause this? It's a fully built tranny with manual valvebody.
I broke the reaerend about 6 months ago and thought something else caused it, maybe this did. The last pass before the pass that the rearend went out it shifted fine. What's the deal?
