Well the SOB had drained all the money from the account. Guess I need to figure out what i'm going to have to do next.

Small update. I got ahold of Marvin on the phone. He claims they took the money out of his bank account. I called Paypal and the guy said there is a process showing where they are attempting to recover the funds from his bank. So I have to give that a few days and see what happens. Probably more than that because of of New Years and Sunday coming up. His story is that he has been out of town and not had internet access. I hope that is the case so that we can clear all this up. He also claims he is not the same Marvin Nichols from the downpipe scam.

Update: Called Paypal today because I hadnt heard anything back and they're saying that its showing in the system that they are still trying to process it. His bank hasnt denied the withdrawal or anything yet. Trying to be patient with Paypal here. I guess I will give it another week. He says they have had some bad weather and have been really short staffed.

You need to put some heat on marvin , do not rely solely on paypal.

You should contact him again, get his name, address, phone numbers, social security car, mommys full name and address and next of kins information.

I just read another thread from a year ago, same scenario and he was out 1150.00 of his money because paypal could not collect the money.

IMO PayPal is fuken useless for helping people get their money back. Don't count on PayPal. They have scewed as many people as Marvin....

Called Paypal today and they couldnt get anything from his bank. I guess it was cleaned out too. I ended up calling my bank and I now have a claim through my bank against Paypal. After a Investigator looks into it I will be getting a provisional credit until the investigation is over with at which point, if it is decided in my favor which should be no problem, my bank will credit my account and go after Paypal and Marvin. Still just trying to take it one step at a time.

For the people who have delt with this before, what are the names of the bureaus that you have to go through to report someone? I'm asking becuase even if I do get the money back through my bank this guy needs to be reported.

Not yet. I know around here the police arent worth two sh!ts. But after I hear from the investigator I will try to contact his local PD and see if they have an internet fraud division or something.

Alright. My bank is unable to do anything because I authorized the transaction with Paypal. I have filed a claim on IC3.gov website. They review the details of the transaction and forward the details to the appropriate authorities. This is where my local PD's website says to file a report. I tried calling Marvin today and he would not answer the phone.

Also, if an Admin could send me any personal information, if possible, like an IP address(s) he posted from to my email account, maxxa87(at)hotmail.com it would be greatly appreciated. I only have 9 PMs left in my box. I dont want to delete anything until I can get it all printed atleast which I am working on.

Thank you. Is all his posts from that IP address? I ask because if he was at a public location each post might have a different IP address for different computers at the location. If they're all the same then you know its from his house, or someones house he knows real well.

Might contact Jay C. about that. I just click it and thats all it says, most likely on my end all i see is the latest IP addy.

You should have contacted his local police dept when he was willing to deal with you. He is probably moved on to screwing other people.

I'm about tired of screwing with this guy. He called me last week and told me he had been out of town, imagine that same excuse every time, and his bank denied the transaction against Paypal because he did not authorize it. He said he was going to send me a cashiers check from the bank first class last Friday but I havent gotten it yet. Should have been here by now. I can not find out who has jurisdiction over this crap. His local PD will not do nothing because they dont take police reports over the phone. My local PDs fraud squad says that I have to file suit in his city. I have paperwork for a complaint to send into my, KY's, attorney generals office but that probably wont do much. His, TX's, attorney generals office says the district attorney has jurisdiction. I have not yet been able to contact them but I bet I will get the same answer as the rest. I could just drive down there but its 988 miles each direction and it will cost me $400 in gas alone to do that. And then all he's going to do when I show up at his door step is call the police and say i'm trespassing. I can't afford an attorney. If one would just wait and collect from him then I would go that route but I know they're going to want to be paid up front. Plus I have to find someone that can practice law in the state of Texas. At this point i'm lost and dont know what to do. It sucks that someone isnt big enough of a man to just tell you that they're not planning on giving you your money back. They have to keep d***ing you around constantly. Hell, he called me with the cashiers check thing. What kind of scammer returns phone calls? You would think they would just drop off the face of the earth once they have your money.

It may be considered mail fraud so you may be able to get the post office after him. They do have their own police and they're feds so they can go after him.

Anyone that wants this douche's address from the last ordeal with the down pipes or for any other reason contact me. Unfortunately i'm just about out of options. I can't get no form of law enforcement to help me out. They all say its someone elses jurisdiction. And it looks like small claims court is just about worthless. Alot of people I have talked to says the court really doesnt do anything to make sure they pay you. Or if someone wants to go pay a visit to him, I will send you a check if you convince him to send me my money.
