, i put into my t-rex calculator, and the vet maybe runs about 112 in the 1/4 mile....so that kinda does show the car may run 112.5ish...so what all is a LS6 vette?
The LS6 is the Z06 engine. Stock Z06's dyno around 360whp. This one dyno'd @ 392 whp. It traps a good deal better than 112.5. I trapped 115, and that was with less hp and a lot less torque than my current setup. I think your calculator need calibrating.
WTF is the point of racing top end in a friggin brick?
It is a common misconception that the Taurus is a brick, but it actually is very aerodynamic, even 15 years after its introduction. Now a Viper, that is a brick (and I assume the GN does not have a stellar cd, but I am ignorant of it's numbers).
well its cool that they are doing these performance mods, but SHOW ME A FULL 1/4 MILE PASS IN THE 12s or something significantly better than the PAST VIDEO-
I will be glad to, as soon as the track opens. There is a much less powered SHO in the 12's (nitrous). I can post a link to that if you like.
get a half fender and act like these cars are BAD ASS
Not seeing where I ever acted like my car was bad ass. I am on a GN site. I know where my car stands. BTW, I put much more than half a fender on that Lightning
Get a video of putting the smack down on the vette where you guys actually pull away and beat the crap out of someones car, and that would impress me to earn my respect for these yamaha motored torass's, hanging right next to something means diddly squat to me-
All I would have to do is find a stock Vette or TA. I much prefer racing comparably powered vehicles, but if a butt raping is what you would like to see I will get some of my Mustang vids hosted (5.0 stangs).
So what happens when the timing chains break in one of these engines?
These cars do not have timing chains. They do have timing belts though. If one breaks, well, it breaks. You get a new one and install it and are on your merry way.
