I think Bison went 10.0 or something Damn close to a 9

That was heads and cam. 10.13 twice. Mph to run 9's but was off on 60' on one and once I shifted 2-3 @6600 cracked a piston.

I have the stock long block I went 10.87@123 with on a stand ready to go. I thought about using it in the Cadillac to fit everything. I might run it with a PTC converter and see how fast it can go. If I can get the Cadillac down to 3600lbs, it might be worth a shot.

We might try and go for mid 10's with the "Rusty Silver Bullet" next spring.. might actually go with a purpose built PTC unit and a few other higher quality bolt on's over the cheap stuff we went with to run the current 10.9's. Just an idea we have kicked around. I know there's more in it if I can spend more than 8 weeks or so tuning and wrenching on it.

I know Scott Coleman went mid tens with his low mile unopened GN in TSS. Maybe Dusty will chime in since he ran TSS way back then.

Scott went 10.80's for sure. Possibly 60's but I don't remember exactly. The class was a 10.50-10.60 class at that time and Scott was in the mix. It seems I remember a 10.66 but don't quote me on that.

My project is a go. Started parting out the donor car. Ordering my double adjustable afco front coil overs this week. No idea what the turbo is but eventually I will upgrade it. Hoping to have the car under 3400 with me in it. Debating if I'm going to lose my stock fuel tank and double pumper in favor of the cell and weldon 2025 I have.

Personally I would keep the DP and stock tank, quieter, easier to drive around on the street and I really dont think the 2025 will deliver any more fuel than the DP will. Glad to see a Buick back between the fenders again!

I'm happy to have it a v6 again too.
Keeping the dp makes sense. I already went 9.7 with it, so I know it works good. The other stuff will be saved for future use.

Wasn't there a unopened stocker from Ohio that had a teardown at red Armstrongs place that went 9s?
There was an article in the gsxtra way back when. I'll have to look for it.

Think that was high 10's. Recipe and story used to be gn ttype.org. Might still be there

That was Tim Stockwell's 10.7x stock motor. No way a stock longblock motor is running 9's.

People probably used to say no way a 109 block would go 8's too.

Thats has to do with technology and who builds/tunes the motor. Just like the alky getting pushed further and further.
Were talking stock untouched heads motor. Not too much to gain. not to mention a massive 7 tenths on top of the record.

good look on the new record you deff have the car an suspension to do it .... I ran a 6768gtq

you might get a 10.30-40 .. subscribed ... I like when people raise the bar
