Just caught this thread.
Kirban unit as its called is only made for us. Been made by the same US source for us since around 1989. Also one of the most popular ones in the Mustang world for the 5.0 cars we sold over 25,000 of them to those Mustang companies....most of those owners have no idea a Buick company had it made. Same source for us makes a race version that will handle 1,000 hp...also makes 4 different Porsche ones for us.....
You would be hard pressed to find a better adjustable stock appearing fuel regulator than the one we make and supply to several other companies. Here is one primte example of how good one of our Porsche regulators is...
There is a Silver State Classic Challenge that has been running for 25 years. Its near Las Vegas where they shut down a stretch of 90 miles on route 318. Not sure of all the rules but you can run flat out. One year I think 1999 in the womans division a woman with a Porsche drove there and beat every other woman driver. She drove a highly tuned 928 model and her average speed was 167 mph. The year was 1999 her name is Susan Kirby. Her 928 put out 453 hp and 480 ft lbs of torque at 3800 rpms.
So, in case your wondering if our regulator can withstand high speeds for an extended time there is your proof 90 miles with an average speed of 167 mph. Ironically that year only 4 male drivers were quicker!
Funny part is neither myself nor the person that makes our regulators ever owned a Porsche......I like certain models but repairs and parts would prove more costly than the turbo regals!
true story
Besides you don't sell over 25,000 Mustang fuel regulators if the product doesn;t work! Even Mustang owners know the billet style regulator is the best suitable one for their 5.0 also one of the very very few that fit with over 14 different intakes. (Those cars regulator sits under the intake.)
