i would assume the gray is for the timing retard enable on the two step

oring is probably for birth control

Too funny........

I need to update the manual (obviously), but....

The gray wire is an analog input that can be configured to use MSD "pills" to set the 2-step. The orange wire triggers the 2-step and the retard.

The o-ring goes on the stock ignition module plug, or you can pick the stock seal out of the bottom of your old ignition module connector.

definitely well worth the wait, i can tell its idling on all 6 now lol. The only thing is that it looks a little bulky under the hood the way it sits, im thinking of making a bracket and bolting it to the firewall in a lower position.

cool, I had not tried to run it from the caspers "thingy".

Careful or you will melt the spark adapters.

haha it definitely puts out a more powerful spark than any type 1 ive tried. I can tell just by listening to it

i had the main rev limiter set to 7k and apparently that works even with a tester

These ignition systems really like a good engine ground, so make sure you ground whatever you are mounting it on.

I'm booked up this weekend, but I'm very excited to get mine on and running. From the instructions I read last night, this thing is amazing. Another useful tool in performance AND diagnostics. Thanks again for building it, Bob.

bob,

if i was able to get an extention for the ccci plug, and the plug from the module to the coil, is there any reason i wouldnt be able to mount the module inside the car and have just the coil on the bracket?

even being able to move the module to the driver fender well would be better than its current location. and also make access for dip changes so much easier, besides im not comfortable with the electronics on the motor due to heat and more so vibration

I guess the wires could just be extended right? caspers sells the ccci connecters so i dont have to hack up the harness

im sure john (caspers) could make a longer cci cable to remote mount, just have to extend the wires to the coil pack using the harness bob provided , unless he could make you a longer one
this way you could always go back to stock quickly if need be

caspers would be a good source for the ccci extender, I can help with the coil-pack harness extension. When you get an idea of where/how you want to mount everything, let me know the length of the extension you need.

perfect,

paulie mock it up since my cars still in your garage

just spoke to john spina @ caspers

i will be emailing him the length needed to mount the module over by the windshield washer fluid reservois (mines deleted) with enough slack to go around the fender by the firewall
