Forgot to update the thread. Tyson came to pick the car up last week to prep it for paint and get her sparkling again! We drove it down the street to load it on the trailor in the church parking lot becuase my driveway is a pain to get into. It was funny becuase while we were loading it onto the trailor, the pastor came out and we thought he was going to yell at us for using the parking lot.

First words out of his mouth were "Is that a Regal Grand National?!!!"

Tyson and I were pretty stoked! The paster was thanking us for loading it in his parking lot becuase he loved the car so much and couldnt believe it was burnt to a crisp and now running! he said he graduated in 1987 and that was the "Car to have back then!!!"

The car purrs like a kitten and was put together as budget friendly as possible. Most people would have parted this car ut and used it for a stock car but this is one good example of why these cars should be restored, not parted if at all possible!!!

All and all, I'm just happy to have the car one major step closer to being back on the road after all this time! Tyson must have been pretty happy too, he bought me a 30 pack of Busch Lite!!!!! Good man right there!!!!

Awesome! What a success story for that car! If cars could talk, I bet it would be thanking you very much!!!!!!:D

so you guys save as many Gns, and T's as you can?

Yes we do, these are awesome cars. If it can be saved it will be saved. I think Jeremy saved three last year. If you are a true car guy and have the passion like we have for these cars, there is nothing that can compare to the feeling of saving a Turbo Buick and putting it back on the road. I am kind of out room right now but there are about 20 of them sitting in my barn to be resurrected from the dead in all kinds of shapes. I was able to put two back on the road last year.

Turbo Farm is; first and foremost it is a Brother hood but it doesn’t end there, its is also a sanctuary for the wounded Turbo Buicks where they come to heal, reconstruct, grow muscles, and sometimes to be donor if it's not savable yet continue to live their legacy through other cars and forms.

Here's an update to Tyson's car. He's been working hard on it and it's pretty much finished! The car obviously has a new paint job. He also re-did the interior. The car is looking fantastic! Good Save!!!!

So what was the budget for the resurrection ? I assume you had a lot of spare parts to begin with ?

I didn't keep real good track(good think/bad thing!) I know I am getting to be north of $8500.00. Jeremy gave me some killer prices on some parts and labor or that would be higher I am sure. I do still have to get a front end alignment, sun visors and have ordered new lock and window switches. by the way everthing works as it should other than the cruise isn't hooked up yet and I need new lock swithches installed as mentioned. I sent Jeremy a pic of my 69 442, didn't know he was going to post it. It is my first car. I bought it when I was 14!
I am glad we saved this car!! Thanks to everyone with the positive remarks!!

I love the olds cutlass. My dad had a 70 with a 350 bench seat and tach and my uncle still has his 67 with a 455. Both are convertibles

good job guys!!! save em all if we can...everything if fixable!!! nice 69 cutlass btw
