On my 5th and final pass at about the 1/8 mile my motor had enough , oiled the track ( didn't realize how bad it was ) & coasted to the return road , pulled next to the grass and watched a puddle of oil form .

I remember seeing you at the end of the track. Saw the fluids pouring out and was worried about ya. Sorry to hear that about the engine. And trans! Damn.

Sam sorry to hear about that. I was there Sat late and didn't see you. Didn't realize that happened.

Any theory on why? Big boost?
Boost was at 29-30psi . Still working on getting it out of the hole , but it was making a ton of power after about 200' and pulled hard all the way out the back door to 142mph . The tune was spot on with no anomalies. The car is heavy @ 3800lbs so that's a lot of strain on the motor . I've said it before that the block is the weak link not the rotating assembly when the tune is good .

Exactly what Jim Ruggles warned me about with the 109 he built for my T.
I asked about a girdle, billet caps. The above was his response.

Gonna go stage 2 or TA? I heard TA is gonna be jacking the price way way up.

I'll be interested to see what your rotating assembly looks like. Agree on the block. I've seen 109s live for a long time in the upper 9s and others have kept them alive in the high 8s. But you are making that kinda power based on the MPH. The cylinder pressure is up there. Cut the 60 down and you are 9.50s no problem. Plus your turbo is badass.

Im a fan of the girdle on the 109. It definitely helps to stabilize things. I beat on mine for 14 years and decided to pull since I wanted to go farther with the car and not worry about scattering parts.

Holy CHIT!!! sorry to see that Sam.. But you are right the block is the problem over 800hp some make it some don't

Maybe stage II , the TA block with machining would be north of $11000 . I'm taking the motor & trans to Dave Husek to see what we can reuse from both . For now I'll probably put the old motor back in so I have my car for the summer . It will still be a ride as I went 10.33 with it before it was pulled .

Your trans case could be welded as long as the dowel alignment holes have not been compromised or internal components not damaged. I had this happen by a shipping company.... Was able to repair but it looks like Frankenstein. Fingers crossed the internals are good on both your engine and trans!!
