Wow that combination brings tears to my eyes.....very nice!

just an FYI, the H compressor cover and the PTE SLIC don't fit well together.

despite the compressor being 3" discharge, and the SLIC being 3" inlet, there are real issues making this combo work together.

Easily solved with a hacksaw or other creative wrangling. When I had an H cover, I wound up tipping the SLIC forward. It barely fit.

My long term solution was to change to an S cover.

Of course, then I changed intercoolers......... (its a sickness.....)

Yeah, I'm aware of the issues, but haven't dealt with them hands-on yet. I have some ideas in mind, so I'll keep this updated for anyone thinking of using the "H" cover with a SLIC...

What's the plan for the bottom end?

I am guessing lots of prayer!

John is pretty much right... I'm thinking Brent might become a member of the "DOTC" club...

It's too bad because another "local" shop recently built his motor, with I think stock main caps & stock main bolts. I know they used TTY bolts for the heads... A girdle'd and forged short-block in is the financial savings plan as we speak.

This should be interesting. My combo http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/engine-tech/277374-new-street-combo.html is very similar to yours only using a 6765bb billet wheel turbo. I'll be curious to see the difference between the HP65 and GTQ exhaust wheels. There is no doubt that we both have more turbo than the bottom end can handle!

Concering the SLIC and H-cover - the fitment issues are why I decided to go the S-cover route - may end up moving this SLIC to another car down the road and didn't want to hack it up. I'm not sure there's much if any measurable performance difference between the S and H covers anyway. I will tell you up front that unless you have a 44mm or larger gate, you may run into boost control issues! My 38mm with a 6# spring and completely hogged out WG hole aint getting the job done.
