I have a close friend that is passing from cancer and one of the last projects he has left in life is his 87 Gn. I have bought quite a bit of other parts off of various companies but still need the doors like crazy. The paint is not important, I am having the car painted. The rust is the issue I am worried about. I would love rust-free or super close to it. Let me know what you have and maybe it will work for what I am attempting?:(

To be honest, yes they should be easy to find but they arent right now? I have even looked for cutlass doors! No luck in the condition I am looking for.

I have a set of good doors. One is from a GN the other from a limited. They have their share of dings and dents, but rust is not an issue. I am located in central Iowa. don't know if that works for you or not... PM me if interested. ---Keith

doors a nearly impossible to find at least here in connecticut.i just got 2 trucked up her from SC on friday. bison bought 1 door from g body parts about 4-5 years ago when they were in PA it cost him $450plus $70 shipping.yes $520 for 1 door and that was 4-5 years ago and they have not gotten any easier to find. the door he got was pristine as it should of been,

just letting you know what your up against.

good luck and sorry about your your friend , spend as much time as you can with him ,i just lost a friend on mine in march due colon cancer and i wish i got to say my goodbyes and i didn't

Thanks for the insight tta, I hope I find better luck. I wont bash any vendors but I have had now 6 of the turbo buicks so I am pretty familiar with them and the various vendors. I made a call to a vendor in lets just say one of the Carolinas and all I got was scammed bad. Their "rust free doors" are now over 600 a piece and miraculously have rust. Oh well, my wining is done. Thanks guys, I'm now looking for two doors again for this reason.

well at $600 each I know it wasn't us.

ttaowner I'm pretty sure the 1 Bison got from us was from a 21K mile GN that was rolled. Finding rust free doors in the mid atalantic area is like finding a virgin. There out there but I'm sure they aren't too good looking.:D

More like finding a 40 year old virgin. It was a 21k rolled over car. Like taking a door off a 21k car that was garaged all its life. Holy chit your memory is good:eek: That was about 4 years ago.

I really wont say where they were from. They were re-sold and used on a cutlass. I am very interested in the 295 doors, can I get pics?

I paid 500 a piece last year for rust free gn doors locally. I thought it was alot at the time but now I am glad I did. They were concert sound doors with perfect weatherstripping and not a hint of rust. The car was a flood car that was so clean it was shame it got parted out. What is a good price for a door anyway?

OK one better Brian. I held it for you for @ 3 months. I had guys willing to pay me more for it then we sold it to you for.

The car was garaged all it's life. The women actually owned the GN & her husband let her use her own car.It was late fall. She passed a Tractor trailer & the tires spun. She went into a ditch. The husband was furious. He use to make her park it in the back of the parking lot when she did drive it every 2-3 months.
They cut the roof off to get her out of the car.She was found in the back seat. The interior is in Frederick Md. Paul Ferry has the engine. The rear went up North. I can continue but I''ll stop now so I can bust on daily drifter.

"Thats questionable at times "

After repeating myself "Dave how many times do I have to tell you? Write it down if your memory is that bad." Now "The book of knowledge" exsists.
I was building this Business when you didn't like girls in Junior High school. Now you still don't like women but that is another subject.:D;)
