How long are you supposed to wait before getting pissed off?????

Unbelievable how some of the board members/vendors get angry at you and give attitude because you want parts that you PAID for weeks and months ago. I've had problems with 99% of the people I've dealt with on here. Sent payment over a MONTH ago. 2 weeks go by, so I make a call. "Sorry, I was sick for a week". 3rd week comes and goes. Another phone call. " Sorry, I lost your list". Ok. HOW ABOUT A F^&%$$KIN PHONE CALL TO LET ME KNOW???? Finally get parts a few days later, and 1 of them is defective. Here we go again. Supposed to have been here last Sat. Phone call again. "I guess I have to go to Fed Ex and see what's up. I'll call you back" Yep, you guessed it...no call back and no answer now. But "Do me a favor and leave me good feedback in the feedback section" !!!! Again, the thing that pisses me off the most is that you're left hanging because nobody ever returns a fu@#$@king call!!!

I recently placed an order and it was taking quite a while. When I called they said that they no longer had what I ordered. I said well when were you planning on telling me about it. Then they said well we sent you an email about it. No they didn't. I understand that mistakes happen, but lying to me about isn't going to win my business back. It seems all too common these days for people to lie about what happened. If I here about obe more person being sick I might loose my chit.

a few weeks ago i purchased something online..then only 1/2 the parts came... when i inquired they said it was on backorder, then 2 weeks pass inquired again then they said we're sorry but they had lost the backorder list. Finally shipped it out, receive a package with the wrong part..then i had TO PAY TO SHIP IT BACK? WTF?? then i shipped it back and another 2 weeks and finally got my part in the mail and it looked very cheap and not worth a 1/4 of what i paid. i was pissed.
Lets not ignore some of the inflated prices on parts! when honestly some things they sell is made in china!

Seems as tho the older the cars get, the fewer parts are out there. This leads some to think that you are at their mercy...Maybe, if a few more were dragged into court, and even some getting their a$$es whipped, there would be fewer willing to screw over other folks...

It's getting so, that if I don't see it, touch it, and then make a decision to buy, I don't even bother.

This forum makes you realize your not alone . I ordered some hoses from a vendor .theynever showed up I called and the vendors daughter /employee was down right nasty . I couldnt believe the level of customer service . The issue is that they have a captive audience for certain products and they do not need to be nice

Sometimes it depends on the vendor you call. Over the years I have figured out who to not call.

Yup, I generally stick with 1 place, Gbodyparts. There are some mistakes now and then but they always been pretty good about it and are always good to ship everything they can USPS to me in Canada. I've spent over 8K with them and have about another 3-4K that will be spent in the next few months The reason I stick with them is because I've had some pretty terrible experiences. Highway stars was pretty good to, I've ordered a few NOS parts form them also.

I think the problem...especially in our specifics car niche is most vendors drop ship and don't actually have the parts themselves. So it makes them look like asses but in retrospect its the person they are dealing with that is an ass...and who knows they might be dealing with someone on their end. Too many middle men...not enough direct contact with suppliers.

All but one I have dealt with had the parts themselves...

over the last 15 years i have been around buicks i have only recently had issues with one vendor. I have nothing but good things to say about every vendor on this board. Shit happens but be honest

I have learned the hard way also. There is only a few select people I will deal with on this board.

I have had excellent results with service and have spent thousands with a few different vendors on this board, i hope you dont give up on the good ones.
