Well it's getting darn close. If every thing goes as planned it will be fired today.
Things are really getting tight in the engine bay but my buddy's Marty & Marshal have done a REAL nice job getting this thing done and as soon as it runs and gets tuned it will be getting the frame notched and a 8 point bar installed. Boy !! Paul's ( H&R) 400 tranny mount worked slick. Can't wait to go for a spin in this thing !!

Impressive! Do you know what hydroboost that it?

Sorry guy I don't know were Wade bought that. He's had it for awhile as he was having all kinds of trouble with the powermaster system and was going to change over and it finally got done with this V/8 conversion. I'll ask him & post back once I know. I know he paid like $800 for it WOW !!!!

Were expecting this thing to go low 11's on pump gas and plain old street tires on maybe 10-11 lbs boost and should crank WELL into the 9's with a little race gas, boost and sticky tires added. Turbo Buicks were WAY ahead of their time when new but its high time to inject a little modern tech underhood and bring this thing into the 21st century :)

Heh heh Mike it sure would be cool. Justifying the cost is a little hard to swallow though. The power potential and what the car "could" do has gone thru the roof with the swap. Its got enough turbo to go high 8's potentaially and if its too heavy to do the number, a 100 shot of nitrous would seal the deal.

Nicely done! Everything looks to fit so well... And a/c without notching the frame. Who's compressor are you using? And are those mani's or headers?

Its a mini Sanden 7176 compressor and we used Kwik Performance accessory brackets. That mount position is somethging new they just came out with and it was perfect! You have to run a truck balancer and belt position to put it in front of the head like that but thats the most common balancer anyways so it worked out fine. Headers and all hotside pipes were custom fabbed by SMC Customs here is Spokane Wa.

I wish. I bought a new 92 FAST intake and TB for it to clear the hood. I love the looks of Empire strike back LOL
