Glad ya made it mr. nick...after your doctor prescribes you the medicine chest, ask him about taking fish oil..

I want thank everyone for all your kind words, best wishes and prayers. :)

Actually the past few days have been VERY fortunate for me a I feel better than before this episode, and extremely grateful for my "gift" of extra time here on earth.

I will relay my experiences over the past few days, so hopefully others could possibly benefit as well.

This past Saturday morning I was cutting our small patch of grass around the pool and my breathing seemed a little difficult like pressure on my chest. My left arm had a tingling sensation.

Only took 20-30 minutes, so I went inside from the 100+ heat to cool down before I started my next projects finishing an engine assemble and loading it on a truck.

Next day I felt great when getting out of bed. After 30 minutes or so looking outside to see what my plan would be for the day, I felt the same sensations, only the level had increased.

After 10 minutes of debating with myself, I decided it would be best to get a professional opinion about the symptoms. I told my wife I would be back shortly, as I had a few errands to run.

The hospital is only a few miles away, so I stopped at the emergency room first. I was a quite Sunday morning and no waiting and a blood pressure test was the first stop. When the pressure reading was 175, they immediately took me into the trauma center, hooked me up to the machines for evaluation.

The nurse checked vital signs and ordered medication to lower blood pressure. During the first 10 minutes I also gave here info about my health history, and this is when things changed drastically.

Like a scene changing in a movie, I saw about 10 more people in the room?

My heart stopped suddenly. The nurse saw my eyes roll back in my head the monitor went crazy. The code BLUE alarm was sounded and she immediately had the paddles on my chest to restart my heart.

When I woke up, she said, "all is ok, your heart is working again. It must have been Divine guidance that sent you here this morning, as it is unlikely you have survived more than a few minutes without proper help".

The doctor then told me that I had 100% blockage in one artery, and he has notified his "cardiac team" and they will be ready in 10 minutes to do this procedure.

There is no heart damage, and only one "plumbing" repair was needed.

In less than 4 hours from when I entered the hospital, I was fully awake in a bed at the Intensive Care Unit. This an excellent testimony to the quality and professionalism, as well as the technical advances, of our medical system.

Again, I want to thank all my friends and board members throughout the country and locally that have wished me well in what could have been a "career" ending situation for me. I am extremely happy to be able to share many more experiences and fun times yet to come!

Nick, don't listen to all those doctors talking about rest - what day are you arriving in Columbus? :-) :-)

Take it easy and get well soon, and we'll see you next year.

Maybe it was all those ribs you were eating in NC , Glad to hear your doing good Nick!

Glad to hear you are ok, Nick. Time for a vacation, you earned it!

I have a friend who had the same luck. He was in church when he had a heart attack. He happend to be sitting between a cardiac intensive care nurse and an EMT. Both strangers, but angels for sure.

You had the Lords guidance and protection that day Nick!!
Praise God you are ok. What a story!
Now be sure and TAKE IT EASY NICK, follow the docs rules and diet it may suck and is a lifestyle change but its for the best.

Prayers sent and hope you have a speedy recovery. If you need anything/help/talk/etc give me a ring.

Take Care

WOW!!!! Glad you are Ok and feeling better. God bless and take the time and rest. Jon Hanson

Thank god you are OK. Even happier that you had the sense to go to the hospital when you did, and not blow off what you were feeling. Too many people go through similar circumstances and never go get checked out, till its too late. Glad you are well! Get some rest, relax and recover. Wishing you all the best Nick!

Nick

WOW..Glad to hear you are doing OK Nick. The fact that you went in to get checked up on says alot. Hopefully some of the people that are stubborn as I will think about it next time they are having symptoms. Take your time getting fully recovered.:)

Get Well Soon

I love a story with a happy ending. God has smiled on you and the best is yet to come. Get well soon... Tom

GREAT, WONDERFUL, EXCITING news Nick. You could have brought a DW pump with you to the hospital and they could've used that to REALLY prove their worth.;)

Am glad to have you still with us. Who else can I call on a Sunday to bounce ideas off of?

Now with your fixed "plumbing" you can really get stuff done. Let me guess.....they told you to stay away from Big Mac's? Man that would suck!

Just in case....Lowe's has a sale on their plumbing this weekend.....maybe save you a little money on your insurance, Nick...
