What class will you be racing with the 4 bolt turbo? What times are you expecting?

Bryan

4 bolt turbos are welcome in TPB, come join in on the fun!. I think you can also run TSM. Even TSO as well.
I run TAI and sometimes TSM. It is tough trying to run 2 classes. I have no desire to run a bracket class , car is not consistent enough to ever run as a bracket car. Still getting the car dialed in with the 3 bolt 7270 and a larger Alky pump but it's getting there. Went 6.20 on a SH!T 60' in Ohio, super fat tune on the hit. The larger Alky pump is flowing a LOT of liquid. Left the tree at 8.8 AF ratio. Still working on tuning around it. Hopefully get it straightened out by Bowling Green.

Yeah, I didn't really care about any specific class. I was just building it with the best possible results I can get out of the million parts that I have. I didn't think that I can enter in TSM or TSO, so that is good to hear. I may have the power to compete in a couple of those classes but it is a full weight car with AC (approx. 37-3800 lbs). I just want to and plan to have FUN (and go fast🤭🫢🤣with class)...

PS, don't want to jinx myself with a time, but believe me she will be on kill if I can get her all wrapped up a week or two before the nats...

Just a heads up for the 4 bolt piece. I assume you are running a V band downpipe? I had to machine the OD of the exhaust housing so the ring could be welded in place. Here are some pics of mine....

You will also need to fabricate a oil return line on the 4 bolt. I used all AN stuff, -10 line. Lucky I had some of the fittings and my friend had some other pieces laying around to help figure out correct angles. Built mine out of race car spare parts. :)

Will a 3.5 inch non vband DP bolt up w/o issues to the 69/71 Comp Hubless version with 3 bolt .85 AR Housing as pictured or does DP need to be modified in any way?

so, wait. you do have the above Turbo in a Buick 3 bolt and 4 bolt dowmpipe exhaust housing?

thanks for the heads up. I haven't gotten there yet but I do have a V-band setup in my car already and hoping I don't have to change the flange. I'm not sure but It looks like the 3 5/8" flange is proprietary to Comp Turbos while every other turbo is using V-band in 1/2" increments.

I have the XRP Oil feed w/filter and drain kit, should work. Just have to confirm for Warranty purposes.

Hopefully you will be ok. I had to change mine to work with the GN1 performance 3.5" V band downpipe.

These guys are talking 4 bolt not 3 bolt
3 bolt is a direct fit
I already told you that😉

I've joined in and received my badass Comp in this week. Looks killer and will be on kill...😁 This looks like one sexy ass🥰Turbo. Mr. Spool spec'd this bad boy out for me and delivered within the time as promised. I'd like to call Mr. Spool, Santa🎅but this thing ain't free... LOL
I think the pricing is very competitive compared to the competition but hoping for a little better performance. I'm hoping I will be able to give you guys some data as well if if I can make it to BG 25'.. Until then, you know who to contact for one of these badass mother#@$%.

PS, even the boxing of the Turbo is real nice.

Mario
Your looking real good!

It's a 1400hp+ turbo on a buick in 4 bolt and we saw initial boost at 1200rpm.
Awesome footbrake combo.
.3 sec it took on a buick to achieve max power level
