I just bought a CAS v2 i wonder where it falls amognst the big dogs?
I don't want to turn this thread into an "Intercooler War" as we have already been down that road years ago!
But having actual experience AND data from various front mounts, the answer of "BEST" is hard to specifically define. Some of the reasons is that it depends on the car build, use, weather and other conditions.
For street driving, except for serious $$$$ street racing, I doubt that you would hardly see any difference among them.
For track, it then depends on build and HP level. Until you are into the 9's, it again makes very little difference between the IC's.
Into the 9's and better, with higher boost, RPM and HP levels, it then will start to show some differences.
Here is one example, a GN with a build identical to my car except for the IC, when running 9.90 will have an intake air temp about 140 deg. Same day/time with my car the intake temp is 120 deg.
We both run the same boost, so my IC is "better", more efficient, than his. Not a big deal at that level, but when we turn it up to run mid/low 9's, it means he will have to run more boost than I do to run the same speed.
As far as your V-2, that was the first front mount I used on my car when CAS began selling them. It would be comparable to the IC on my friend's GN, and will easily take you into the 9's.
As far a BEST of current production, my opinion would be you cannot go wrong with either Jack's or RJC's IC. They both have excellent units, and I believe they can both do an all-out racing version too.
