my boss runs a 70 nova at 750-800 hp level...procharged 383...i can give the specs if nessecary...i do all his erpair work...we just removed the tko600 to re-install the 2004r...it is buil;t by dynamic trans, a drag trans guy in ct, who is fairly local to us...our 2004r was bulletproof at 625-650 range, but we put an intercooler in it, and turned the boost up from 5 to 15 lbs...we immediately fragged the trans...at that time, it was 3 yrs old, so we figured it was time for a rebuild anyway...dynamic rebuilt it, and made us a 3800 w/l-u converter...we put it in and fragged it again on the first 2-3 shift...made a high pitched squeel and such...we took it back and the guy said it must have been low on fluid...he fixed it, but charged us 400 bux...whatever...so we shelved it, and installed the tko...that was a great trans, and is still together, but the car is far slower with the 5 spd than the 2004r, and the boss has a race coming up, so we reinstalled the 2004r...we overfilled it by a pint this time...we musta checked the fluid 10 times before beating on it real hard...1st time the car went hard to 3rd, it wiped the trans again!!!this is gettin friggin expensive!!!i believe it to be that the servo isnt big enough...i read that ck does billet servos that are friggen huge...will this cure our woes???should we also make it a bottom feeder???we only wipe out soft parts...not breaking hardparts...i told the boss to buy the specialty tools, and a good book and i`d rebuild it...what the hell, i aint scaired...its already broke anyway, right???lmao...is ck`s book gonna give me enough info to diagnose, and repair the trans???ps, there is no tv cable...rev pat manual vb...should we scrap the 2004r in favor of the 4l80e???crap, i hope not...i`ve got a lot of work into making this sucker right...
