That really blows. Anyone have an alternative they can recommend. There is no way im paying $1 to download each song on Itunes when ive been downloading them for free for the last 10 years on Limewire.

Anyone know if it will be back up anytime soon? Im sure one will have to pay when or if it does come back online but Im hopen its a yearly rate or something.

can I drag the downloads to Itunes or are they all protected?

Torrents are better anyways.
Also try downloader pro if you got an android phone. Its in the market section. Its free and so are the downloads. Somehow it searches the web for mp3's. Works pretty good.

had to update Java. works fine now. sweeeeet. Kevin ill look at that droid app. thanx

Just don't wind up like the house wife that got the huge fine for downloaded music:eek:

I didn't know downloading things off the internet wasn't legal. Gnbrett didn't either did ya Gnbrett?;)

youtube 2 mp3 everybody... find your music on there and enter the url from the video into the box.

Ramone; the only problem with that is basically, people edit the music to get by the DMA/Copyright thing on youtube, and there are obscure music some people like that you just can't find on youtube.....my brother uses torrent something, and he got me over 7 hours of Kraftwerk (entire discography) and Youtube only has like 10% of them.

When all that stuff went down a few years back and all those peolpe were fined, I got spooked. Now if I want a song I just find a half way decent recording on youtube and grab the audio with audiograbber. No download ever takes place.

More than one way to skin a cat ;)

whats a good inexpensive software to edit music MP3 and Wav files?

just hit the record button and you can record anything that your computer's speakers play:wink: Digital to analog back to digital. not perfect but it works and the price is right.

I've read they're really starting to crack down on the sites that support that. I guess all those illegal downloads are really hitting the artists. Just look at any of the gangster rap videos, poor guys only have 4 Bentley's and Lamborghini's now. :D

On a more serious note. I've heard the Limewire type sites are full of virus'. You're best off using Torrents.

after a lady got fined a crap ton of money for four songs...i just pay for the music now. I do, however, buy the cards. Then you get charged one 'credit' no matter how much the song is...true each credit is about a buck...but many songs are around $1.20 or a bit more...so it works out in the end.

I also use rhapsody. Its 10 bucks a month and usually has about 95% of what I'm looking for. No Beatles, Metallica, tool, eagles (who cares) and chilli peppers.
