No one is perfect period. If you do catch a case and u aren't guilty u should explain yourself ... don't send word through the grapevine FU to a community that pays your bills

when it is NONE of anyones business, why should anyone respond?
look at the illegal in the white house, he doesn't respond to anyone. and he is a blatant liar.
NONE OF YOU were present for any of the actions you are so quick to condemn,
yet you will crucify someone because your lying dip sh!t friend tells you bald faced lies.
sad that some of you are so petty and childish.

Personally, I feel this site is going downhill in a hurry. No offense to the good people and the friends I still have an love on here. But, with that said, there have been some pretty huge amounts nut hugging going on between moderators for years, drama from people that think they are "big dogs" but really aren't shit. The big dogs rarely post here because they don't care to anymore. It's unfortunate because years ago, this was a fun place to be, filled with good people. Ive only had a couple problems selling or buying parts and that was only my own dumb mistake of shipping out parts before I was paid, and then never ended up getting paid. But, that kind of thing is happening more and more on forums these days. And then once one person has a problem with something they bought, they go on blast and have 85 nut huggers swinging away before the other person has a chance to post. It's a drama filled site these days.

Now you have a guy like Brian that has hands down blew away any other vendor as far as production and reproduction of parts. He's selling to 1000's of people which means there's 1000's more of a chance of drama, more possibilities of mistakes, etc. You hear about the bad but never the good. I know quite a few vendors personally and I'm sure most of them would agree that it's not easy making people happy. That said, I feel for Brian. I don't agree with the Nasty Wendy situation and I feel it was his fault, I also couldn't believe that he brushed it off and didn't take care of him. I thought that was out of character. Then all of a sudden he gets arrested for something stupid and the whole site and facebook goes apeshit like they are watching their favorite soap opera. Too much drama and too many people in other peoples business these days....IMO.
WTF are you talking about dude? Exactly who are you talking about? I will tell you like I have told every other CRITIC around here, if you don't like this board or where it is going simply LOG OFF and don't return. I am sick of little jabs at this board... If you had a clue what we could do you would probably apologize for making such stupid statements. This place is as free of BS as any I can imagine. Some of you might not like a particular mod, but no one is perfect. There is so much time and effort placed into keeping this place going it hurts when we get slammed....

Again, little button top left corner. No more downhill concerns;)

Shane we have had private conversations about it if you can remember. But, yes, I apologize and probably shouldn't mention it publicly. The whole point is that instead of stabbing on the guys that provide parts to keep our cars alive and digging into a mans personal life only to crucify him, a little appreciation would be a better choice. Not turning everything into a soap opera.

I totally agree with that. I was addressing the comment about the board going down hill over the years. If anything things have chilled a little compared to the clowns we had around years back....

You mean us clowns that banished ourselves to T6P.com..... or the other clowns.....?

I'm with you. My statements are aimed more towards the members of the board (community) and the actions of people and the general way people handle things. To me, its very very unfortunate that there are many very knowledge people that no longer "want" to help others. That blows. We used to treat each other in a more ethical and respectful way. I used to never read anything like many of the posts in this very thread. People simply didn't talk poorly upon their fellow turbobuick brothers, whether it was a vendor or a newbie. Instead, now people want to be "popular" instead of informative. People don't speak their minds like they used to because if one person disagrees, which is sometimes a mod, then 50 people follow behind even if they are clueless. In my mind, any info can be valuable info. Any vendor can be a valuable vendor. We all have ups and downs but puting someone on blast for things is something the community needs to get away from.

For me I just need to know that if I spend money with G-body parts am I going to get what I ordered? Simple as that. I am a little leery of spending money with a company whose future has been cast in doubt because of the owners legal issues. I don't know the full story and I wouldn't expect Brian to post anything about it on a public forum until the matter is settled. If he goes away will the business carry on? Have orders still been processed and parts received as of late?

if you have doubts........ call him ,
he has posted on other venues, and has new products coming out, available NOW!
would you post on a forum where liars try to destroy you? and the liars have no idea of the actual truth!
I'd be more afraid to buy something from the liars!!!

I've only been on this board a few years now but have had the car for quite a bit longer than that. It was the guys going fast in the 2000s that got me pumped to get one of these cars. But I've heard horror stories of the awful things turbo Buick "brothers" did to each other in the 90s. Everyone seemed to play a little better in the 2000s but it's still out there and always has been. It's an ebb and flow like everything in life. At least we have a public and free forum to hash it all out instead of just buying parts out of a catalogue and getting screwed bc that vendor could simply afford an ad. I've made several great friends as a result of this board and I'm sure others would say the same. Either way, if the board is "declining", it'll surely rise again as a new crop of people tinker with these cars. It may be all restoration stuff soon and everyone will wonder why our dumbasses ever modified anything to begin with let alone race.

I'll preface this with the fact that I know the Clay situation and I tried to help him get his car back together in every way I could.

we4Mateo and all,

While your post sees things from an accurate and refreshing perspective in so many ways, it fails to address the crux of this thread, and that is why some here are attacking a vendor, and some are defending him.

Then there are those of us just trying to understand why the attacking side feels the need to so viciously attack and disparage a fellow Buick guy, one that has done so much to promote and provide for our beloved little cars.

I've said before that I have no dog in this hunt, and when looking at it from 10,00 feet up, I have a difficult time understanding how rumor and innuendo have somehow been transformed into actual fact.

I would hope if someone I know, someone I know well, a person I have placed trust in, were to face a very tough reality, be it self inflicted or not, I would hope that I could find it in my heart to give him the benefit of the doubt until all of the facts have been presented, instead of speaking from a position I have no true or intimate knowledge of.

It's true that Brian has made some bone-headed moves that should and have been second guessed. He's been called many things, both good and bad. But who among us has never made a mistake or has no regrets? Be honest.

Through it all though , my perception is that his business has been the better part of his focus and helping the TR community has always been a large part of his focus and life.

I'm acutely aware of the Clay (Nasty Wendy) incident and Brian's bungling of the resolution. I thought it wrong and I tried to help Clay in any way I could. I also said my piece (and I was severely scolded for it by moderators) regarding Clay's lack of prudence in the failure to properly insure the car as he should have but then again, we all make mistakes.

Clay was fortunate enough to have received the full and well deserved backing and assistance of the entire TB.com community.

I am in no way saying G Body Parts or Brain deserves a pass or should be entitled to one, but giving him a little bit of breathing room might be justified....

Flame away.............

The fact remains, if he hasn't told his side of the story, not that it would be told without a bunch of attitude and defensiveness, but without his side, how can you call the case closed, judge? ;)

so when is he going to tell his side of the story ?

That's up to him.

Only time and Brian's own actions will tell. Then again, does he owe really you an explanation?
