I had an LT1 that did that. turned out to be one rod bearing that was hurt (not spun).

Looks like Otto is thinking "Who in the fuk where's a fanny pack"??

Awesome work guys!

I pulled it apart and see nothing at all wrong with ths pistons or cylinders. I diagnosed a sealing problem on the #5 intake and thought it was from the valve but appears to be in the valve seat. I'm going to get the seats looked at and reground. These heads saw extreme heat for a few seconds before I got them. The valve job looked ok after I lapped the valves in. But now when I tried to lap the #5 intake valve i see a problem area at the seat. I'm thinking ths seats have moved a little from the previous heat they saw. Hopefully I'll have it back together before Wednesday.

At the shop the valve did not look bent and by the way thanks for hooters!!!!!!!!!

Rmar its fun to push the envelope how else would you know what you can get away with . I think the stock motor can run deep in the nines i freshened a stock block stock rods n pistons no main studs ported iron champion heads and my grind hyd roller with a 6776 turbo in a 3500 pound buick with ac we ran 9.59@142 with a 1.41 60 ft we just bolted a 70 tsm turbo and lookin to go faster . Btw i ran low nines with a 234 with stock crank and stock ecm that motor ran for years ran strong more with less is always good in my book .

I still remember when most thought 22psi was the limit. I just kept my mouth shut and ran 28psi. They couldn't figure out why I was a half second faster.

I checked all the cylinders with a new head and gasket. No problems were found . Hopefully I'll have it running tomorrow night

Nice! The unmistakable sound of a turbo 6.

This has been a great thread. Keep up the good work guys.
