Well I finally finished my reproduction style dash. Granted I didn't use Stewart Warner guages, but I think it looks closer than alot of GNX style dashes. I was sick of looking thru a window at the guages.;)

Looks sharp. Gauges look similar to the SW gauges. Nice setup.

Nice job…..FYI when working on the GNX project, as you know we used the SW gauges… but we had issues and we actually thinking of switching to VDO….but the project was to far along to make that change….again nice job… best regards:biggrin:

Looks good. Where'd you get the parts? PS. The only change (difference) I would make is to switch the tach and speedo but that's the way I always set up my dash.

:D Nice lookin!! I sure would like to have one for my car like that. I have saw a bunch of pictures of dashes but i think yours is probably the nicest! you want to build another one?

Did you make it plug and play. Where or how did you make or get the female harness end to plug into dash harness?

Thanks guys.

86Nick it's as plug and play as possible.

I got the plate, bezel and applique parts from Paul Castle at World of Motorworks. He sells them on ebay. Some of the stuff is reused from the stock cluster.

The wiring part was easy as I swapped from my old AVC cluster.

Here are some pics of the back.

Wow!... Great!..This is the closest to a real GNX dash I've seen to date! If I had the guts to install a GNX-style dash on my own GN, THIS is what I'd like...Unfortunately, I'm affraid of getting involved in that task fearing that I'll never get it to work right... I would need a "plug-and-play" kind of installation. By any chance, do you have plans to make and sell that setup?...

Claude. ;)

Looks great someone needs to reproduce the electrical connector that plugs into the factory plug

Very Nice. Would look great in my car. RI-MAT we all want to know, any interest in making more and selling them.

Thanks

Thanks for the compliments guys.

I'm looking into it. It would depend on the wiring part. I'll keep everyone posted.

Yup, I'm in RI right near the MA border.
Where in MA are you?
Once the weather warms up maybe we can meet up.

What parts did you use from Paul?
The instrument mounting panel and the cluster bezel?

Thanks

Oh, and by the way, looks FANTASTIC!

I got the mounting plate, bezel and applique from Paul at worldofmotorworks.com contact him he'll hook you up.
Wiring was "borrowed" from my old AVC dash cluster.
Guages were customized by me ( white pointers ) ;) along with idiot lights, directionals etc....
