What fuel pump do you have? Also, is this an alky chip by chance and if so do you have an alky kit? That causes serious issues.

I just went through a similar experience. I took my coil pack off and there were 2 of the 3 nuts missing from the bottom of the coil to the brace that mounts to the intake. It wasn't getting grounded well enough. I sanded the contact points, found 2 new nuts and installed them and the car ran fine after this. My car did this at any throttle position though, yours says wide open throttle....worth a look see though, was an easy fix for me and I didn't spend a small fortune tracking it down!:biggrin:
 
I had a buddy who unwittingly put a alky chip in his car without alky on it. He ran into SERIOUS leaning/popping issues because there wasn't enough fuel/knock suppression. I figure with the amount of people on here that want to "buy for the future" it's worth mentioning. Hope this clears that post up a little. james

I had a problem similar to yours at the track 2 weeks ago. My 02 numbers were in check along with everything else. I was running 24psi boost. New plugs. I gapped my plugs at .035. Then I thought I would try something.:D I regapped my plugs to .030 and the problem went away. I think it was blowing the spark out.

My plugs are gapped to .32 so that should be good... Didnt pop today, but low O2's... im going to try and fill the tank, then make a pass if the fuel isnt getting away from the pickup in the tank
 
Last time my car did that i found a spark plug missing a tip and another about to lose a tip. Dr. Boost says time to check my exhaust wheel.:eek:

You did not mention how much boost you were running. Also if that A/F gauge is tied into the factory O2 I would not put much faith into it. The Scanmaster will give you a more accurate reading.
 
Check your crank sensor...mine was not gapped properly and it was rubbing on the 3 rings on the balancer.

Small miss at WOT because of this.
